I think the size of the GTAV map is fine, unless they plan on having hundreds of people be able to join a multiplayer game it need not be bigger. But the map and game in general I quite frankly found boring, there was little to do in it and little of it was fun or even worthwhile to do. Like Yoga, wow, I'll definitely do that more than the one time the story forces you to do it. So...fun. And the hunting which gets you barely any money, unless you want to roleplay as some sort of good guy who doesn't kill anyone you could just stab a few people and get more money faster. Or just rob one of those armoured trucks. The only thing I liked doing to that end were the triathlons since they were a fantastic way to build up your stamina, the golf and tennis games took far too long. GTAVI needs a greater...activity density I shall describe it. For all the 100% of the map in V there were only things to do in like 1% of it and maybe another 1% for easter eggs. They should bring back fast food, arcade games, basically everything from San Andreas. |

It's procedurally generated isn't it? Doesn't really count. |

That's kind of an odd thing to judge it by, regardless of whether or not it's procedurally generated, it still exists. And it's still in-game the size of like Europe or some s***. |

I don't really agree with this, at least not for when the story is still ongoing. I agree the main story game becomes a bit empty afterwards, but that why most people play GTA Online nowadays, they've added a lot of stuff which is nice. |

The base game when you're not playing the story is pretty empty and boring though there's not really any reason to do anything unless you want to max out your stats. The story stuff is good but I never once found myself interested in doing anything else without cheats involved. Whereas I never actually completed San Andreas properly because exploring and doing the mini-games was excellent...as well as engaging in a light bit of warfare.
But procedurally generated is near enough infinite so it's pointless to include them. Even though Minecraft is presumably set on a planet if you walked for long enough it'd stretch out to be bigger than the universe in No Man's Sky. If it's not actually been designed as a map it shouldn't count. From what I understand Daggerfall is just some set locations spread out in an otherwise randomized world. |

The issue is of course that Daggerfall does have limits to as far as it goes. It's not like minecraft where it expands into infinite. It has clear boundaries. As for what is procedurally generated... The wildlife areas (the area between towns, dungeons and other places), street-walking town NPCs, non-main quests and the loot are all randomly generated. The towns are dungeons were generated during the game development, but then saved so they always look the same for everyone. And the monster spawn locations in the dungeons are always the same too. Edit: That said. I've recently found out there's a project currently mirking with Unity to make Daggerfall somewhat more modernized (like draw distances and such, tries to not mess with the look of it too much). It looks pretty legit. Edited by Goddess Ultimecia, Dec 23 2016, 04:42 PM.

I don't like how, even for a beta, the Friday the 13th game is so laggy and glitchy. The fact that you can see Jason's eyes is also pretty bad, the fact that you couldn't was one of the things that made him scary, that he seemed soulless. The executions and death scenes for the counselors, as expected, are fantastic however. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

I find the game to have plenty of replay-ability. I'm currently doing my second 100% run of it. I don't use cheats in games at all, so obviously I wouldn't with GTAV either. |

I think it used to but now it just goes as far as your PC can handle I believe. You could literally run for years in one direction and never reach the end, unless you have a terrible PC. |

2016 awards (your opinion) go to for; Gadget of the year? Console of the year? Ps4 game of the year? Xbox game of the year? PC game of the year? Most disappointing game of the year? |

Gadget of the year? In game gadget or real world thing like VR? For real world VR in general for game the 3D Manoeuvre Gear in the Attack on Titan game. Way cool. Console of the year? PS4 still. Ps4 game of the year? Can't even remember what exclusives I've played this year... Never played Uncharted but whatever Uncharted 4 gets good reviews. Xbox game of the year? N/A PC game of the year? Diaries of a Space Port Janitor Most disappointing game of the year? FFXV for me, it's a great game but it's big faults just seem...obvious. I feel like it took them so long to finally finish it that they rushed some aspects. |

Got Overwatch and have been enjoying it, but there's serious design decisions that I feel really ruin it. Having 6v6 is just too much for this style of gameplay, especially for a game with no map. Due to the way games are played everyone is always rushing to the same spot, so you've constantly got 6 people per team gathered around a single area and thanks to that it just becomes a giant clusterf***. No matter where I am, I never feel like I'm safe. I can't keep track of 6 people at once. I can never get a kill without having thousands of bullets entering my rectum before they've even hit the floor. Also thanks to the questionable main modes of choice it feels insanely unbalanced. Due to the camping nature that the game forces you to take, whichever team gets the first upperhand is bound to win because now they have the objective under their control. This is especially the case in those games that require you to capture 2 control points because the 2nd one is always closer to the defending teams spawn point, which means even if you get an equal amount of kills it doesn't mean anything because it takes you over half the time to get back to the objective. That also means the enemy team is more likely to have all 6 of them there, while the attacking team is all over the map due to how far they have to travel after they die. It's a shame because I really enjoy the game. I just think having a standard deathmatch mode like most FPS' would really help it. |
