Remember password systems? Sometimes you could get some really cool cheat codes with them. Mostly used as an alternative to saving though.

I remember some of the Mega Man passwords still, but never use them anymore because it's not enjoyable to start at a certain point in the game that isn't the beginning. Also I never game over, so it's useless.

But if you are playing a long game like Wonderboy III then it's incredibly useful.

Out of curiousity, has anyone designed their own Xbox One controller yet?

https://xboxdesignlab.xbox.com/?xr=shellnav

If this is successful, do you see Microsoft applying this concept to all of their accessories?

Do you also see this eventually being applied to consoles too?

Naughty Dog is already considered one of the top developers of the industry thanks to its Crash Bandicoot games, the Jak and Daxter games, the Uncharted series, and The Last of Us.

It's a pretty good track record, you'd have to go back a few decades to find anything really worth calling trash. Meanwhile we consider Bethesda legendary because of series and games like The Elder Scrolls, Fallout 3-4 (although the latter somehow managed to not catch on to a good chunk of fans of the former), Bully, the new Wolfenstein, and the new DOOM.

But we kind of just brush those godawful attempts at side games for the Elder Scrolls because they were BAD. I'm not really going to count publishing because that's not really fair to Bethesda, although we have seen time and time again publishers pressuring developers to release games when they're not complete, so who knows maybe they're responsible for things like Brink and Rogue Warrior.

Now I'm reminded that Activision is retiring Crash Bandicoot to the old Skylanders barn... nice open fields... *sigh*

Hold on Activision owns Crash? Damn...that's some sad news if so.

I really hope that Bethesda AND Obsidian work on the next Fallout game. Bethesda's story content leaves much to be desired but their world design is fantastic. People fight over who is better all the time but a team effort between them would be phenomenal.
I doubt it will happen though.

Not sure if I want that or the next Elder Scrolls first, not as big a fan of TES but it's sure to be a huge upgrade considering it's after another big project which is hopefully a new engine.

Am I the only one NOT hyped about TLOU 2? I didn't think the first game was all that great, to be honest. To me the only good parts were sneaking around the zombies, the clickers were creepy villains, and the most unique zombie type in a looong time. But suddenly a wild bloater appears, and he's basically L4D2's Boomer. I mean he looks cool, but for this realistic world the concept for a bloater is too silly to work. We don't even see that many of those in the game.

Also, yes, it's a shame Crash will probably not get any games anytime soon, because screw you Activision.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I loved the first but I'm not that hyped for 2 because the first was a complete package for me, I don't think they could make a better game but IF they do then hell yeah.

I'm a sucker for post apocalyptic stuff and I thought it was great that you're not some randomly immune dude, you get bit you're done.

The AI was pretty stupid though hopefully if we have another companion enemies...actually notice they exist.

Yeah the Bloaters were kinda dumb but the game definitely needed another type of infected to keep it from going stale. Would have been better if it was a massive, strong Clicker that once you shot it would rapidly pound it's way over to smash everything in your direction.

That would be tense, have to shoot it and then slowly creep away or get massacred.

That first fight with one was dull, just run in circles, turn around and shoot.

Playing Titan Quest Remastered, picked it up on sale on Steam for $5. I played this game about 10 years ago and its a Diablo clone, its pretty fun, and I can't complain for $5.

Completed Eye of the Beholder I and now I'm eager to begin the sequel. Apparently you can port you party over from the first game. It's a good sequel but I hate the respawning enemies.

I've been playing Ys II. Now I am stuck as to what to do next.

Also started a new game on The Temple of Elemental Evil. Probably the best party I've ever had on it.

So, Recore sounds kinda pants.

Thought it looked promising but it's basically the Xbox's Knack, should have been a launch title.

Cuphead is the only Xbox game that really stands out to me at this point hopefully that's not some s***ty 2 hour long disappointment.

Do you mean when it comes to new games or ever since Xbox One launched?

The latter I guess, the few games that have looked somewhat interesting to me turned out to be disappointments to most.

Quantum Break was supposed to be Xbox's TLOU but it was just...okay.

Microsoft should secure a good developer to make them something of TLOU's calibre, surely they have enough money to do so? They have no problems forking out billions for Mojang.
