What will you do when you get old?

Just started playing Dragon Age: Inquisition again. Was pretty much done with it on my level 27 archer rogue, but I started a new character because I wanted to play the rest of the game and I only had a single quest left before I finished the game.

Close to completing the dex on the DBZ Pokemon hack. Been grinding levels all afternoon for it.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

So it's been like...a year since I bought anything on PC.

Thinking about getting Total War Warhammer. Watching a playthrough of it and it looks pretty cool. Obviously not invested in Total War or Warhammer at all and don't intend to be but it looks like a nice strategy game.

I just can't tell if I'd like it though, so annoying when there's a game you like to watch but it turns out oh, you hate playing it.

I like all the different factions and mechanics in play, cool how you have your basic humans and then you have vampires, orcs and all that.

With these sort of games either I love them or I play it once, figure out how to win easily and then it becomes dull. Needs some severe replayability to keep me interested. Command & Conquer has always been of interest to me since it's quick and fun.

Anyone got TWW? Your thoughts on it if so?
Maybe I'll wait for a sale would like to give it a bash. At least since it's turn based I'd have time to figure s*** out.

I bought it two days ago but I'm too intimidated by it to actually play. I'm really good at Total War games but this one seems like it has a s*** ton more going on in battles than previous games had. Like usually it's just infantry, ranged (cannons or archers) and cavalry if you like to use them. But this one has flying s***, giants, units with guns, I think I saw lightning being rained down in one part of the trailer so there might even be some age of mythology type stuff going on too. Tons of new types of combat which I am not familiar with and makes me feel overwhelmed.

I much prefer the simplicity of slowly breaking down an army with arrows or cannons and then mopping them up with melee units. Doesn't look like that will be enough in this one.

The variety is what appeals to me mostly because I feel like it might be more replayable, seeing how to win with each faction and how they function.
Half the time I get strategy games and I just don't find them difficult and they become pointless. This looks decent.

No Man's Sky has been delayed to August so I have money for a game too. Not entirely sure about how my PC would run it that's one potential issue.

I'll probably get it at some point, hopefully I actually play it. Got like 14 games on Steam and haven't played any this year really. Granted 8 of those are Early Access titles.

The only other issue I have with RTS games is that they're almost unplayable online because getting utterly rolled over by someone like this:

Rips all the fun out of it for me. So that's a huge part of the game I'm not really going to dabble in because it's hard to have an average casual battle with someone  would be a bit of a waste.
Not really interested in making friends on Steam either which is the only real way to play with people of your skill level usually.

Warhammer > Warhammer 40k (Yeah I know they're set in the same universe, just different timeline).

I want to get the game myself but I've not got a good enough pc. If you're really that concerned with not liking it I'd wait until it goes on sale then. Also just the overworld map/diplomacy should be turn based, actual battles can either be auto resolved (usually the worst possible outcomes come from it) or manually commanded, which is the best part of the games imo.

I saw Doom a few days ago in the GAME shop. Is it worth buying?

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Yeah I like the balance between turn based and RTS in it, it doesn't look like it'd be too complicated to play just I'm not going to understand the lore or anything but I don't care anyway.

Not entirely sure how I'd be at micro-managing hundreds of units if your army ever gets ridiculously big.

Guess I'll wait for a sale and give it a bash and see how I feel after 2 hours.

Wait until it goes on sale. The PC game is really broken right now and very hardware demanding. @Doom.

Steve if you're concerned about the scale then maybe try a different Total War game first. As I said before, they use less various types of units on the battlefield compared to Warhammer. No helicopters or giants or anything. Just bows, swords, horses and cannons. It's much simpler. Personally I like Empire the best since the gun volleys and uniforms look awesome. Plus cannons of course. You do get them in Medieval 2 as well but they are more basic and take ages to learn through your tech tree. In empire you get cannons from the start.

Honestly it sends to vary depending on the pc, from what I know it's generally rather demanding on the hardware

PC games generally have more bugs than consoles because hardware varies on pc more than it does on consoles. There's like a billion options on building a pc but only 2 or 3 models when buying a console.
