I loved Kotr but hated it's sequel. It was very bland in comparison and clearly unfinished.

To make it worse, Gen 1 and 2 had HORRIBLE level scaling after the 4th gym (in both games) due to the games less linear path. You can pretty much do the next gyms in any order, but that means all the routes are set to a level that is possible to beat after the 4th gym. That's why I really don't care that the newer games are more linear, which everyone complains about. It makes it much easier to Gamefreak to know what level to set the trainers to.

Not really sure what the point of doing Sabrina first is since Koga raises the level handicap and she doesn't.

Anyway I'm actually playing the DBZ hack where all the Pokemon and attacks have been replaced by DBZ stuff. Instead of a Porygon you win a Gotenks and instead of Snorlax blocking the path you have Hirudegarne. My party is currently:

SSJ Gotenks
SSJ Adult Gohan
Super Cyborg 13
Fifth form Cooler
Oozaru
Hirudergarne first form.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

That sounds awesome lol.

Y'know, I really hope they do away with the whole automatic battle BS at some point.

It's so annoying when you're past the Elite Four, champion, King of the God damn world and you're looking for a Caterpie or something in the first area since the National Dex has shown up.

And then some scrub bug catcher with 5 level 1 arbitrary defensive bug Pokémon's you missed gets you.

It just gets tedious. Would be good if when you were so obviously ahead of someone you could just choose not to battle them.
Same with Pokémon in the grass/etc

Perhaps it could be based on you having a Pokémon out of it's ball, if you have a level 100 Arceus behind you nothing challenges you. That would be fantastic.
Screw off level 6 Zubat, Arceus is having none of your s***.

They've had the exact thing you're talking about for wild Pokémon since gen 1. Repels. When you use them no wild Pokémon that are a lower level than your current party lead will show up.

As for trainers, I never have a problem with them since I like to fight all of them in each area before moving on.

If it's legal, could you PM me the link to it? That sounds awesomely interesting.

It's annoying having to pay for them though or use other items with similar effects when a level 13 Pokémon has no business taking on your team of level 60's.
Would be a nice touch if you could have a level 60 watching your back so that anything below level 40 or so doesn't even bother attacking. Repels can be costly, especially in caves.

As do I but there's still a good chance of missing them, maybe in side areas you never noticed so you come back and you're leagues ahead of every trainer.
Would rather they just did away with the level system and made something more skill/strategy based.

Would be cool if you could not only pick your attack but how it is performed.
Attack from the right/left/back/front/above/below
As well as defend from those or all areas. Defend a back attack and it does next to no damage, defend from all areas and reduce the damage based on the attack, defending from all areas being the best for AoE attacks.
Or dodge and attack for reduced accuracy and perhaps damage.

An in depth strategy system like that would be so cool. Especially with how so many different moves could affect battles.

Course that would be quite complex for children to grasp so they'll never do it.

I think its simplicity is what makes it enjoyable. And nah goddess it's a rom hack so definitely not legal.

It's called DBZ Team Training if that helps.

Eh I find the simplicity of Pokémon to be the most boring thing about it now.

Used to love it but now I recognize that it's essentially just a calculator game. Kinda sucks how you can look up the best Pokémon, moves, stats etc etc.

There shouldn't really be a best, it'd be great being able to actually outwit your opponent but as it is now you can basically just memorize all the best strategies, soon as someone sends out X Pokémon you can pretty much tell what they're going for.

Played some Fire Emblem Fates. I don't care for the story or characters at all but the gameplay's ok. Better than Awakening. Although I'd rather it was all 2D. Not a fan of the 3D graphics. Also due to the screen size it can be a tad difficult to read all the information. Not one of my favourites but not the worst either. But damn at least give us Japanese voices as an option.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

The base game in FO4 is just hilarious when you've been in Far Harbor on Survival for a while.

I have an Exploding Combat Shotgun which kills Mireluk Queens in 3 shots in the Commonwealth. It's ridiculously OP and I only have two ranks of Rifleman.

Was considering not using it but in Far Harbor everything can kill me in 2 hits or less so still a glass cannon sadly.

Can't see how they're going to top difficulty for future DLC unless the next one is just some place that's perpetually on fire.

Hoping they adjust Survival some more, if you know how to play the game it becomes easy quite fast. Antibiotics are too powerful and illnesses need to be lethal I think.
Great start though, hope more devs take inspiration from the brutality.
