Downloaded Advance Wars Dual strike on my Wii u. I forgot how enjoyable these games were. My favourite unit is artillery. I know it's inferior to missiles but I don't care.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Lol I love artillery weapons in games like Command & Conquer.

It's awesome getting like 50 of them lined up on a hill then they slowly aim up and fire and just utterly decimate anything.

Nice base you got there NPC, building a massive army to come assault my base?
I don't f***ing think so.

That's 2, and it's a five percent loss, barely noticeable honestly, I know I didn't realize it. In 1 it stopped you from summoning allies to help you or getting invaded by players.

Game. And really 1 is far superior to 2 in terms of story anyway so I don't see the connection.

Hasn't beaten the Hunter, keeps getting wrecked by the beast form. And he does that, I think my sibling is just unlucky with drops. Also runs into like every glitch a game has while I run into almost none of them. And I've looked, it's amazing how the game changes almost the minute my sibling is playing.

In any case this game seems easy to do challenge runs for anyways, like a no heals run.
Isn't it per death though? I remember walking around with my health capped at 50% when I was starting out and obviously quite rubbish at it.

I guess he has no points in to Arcane then? They still seem easy to find around that area though, the big troll looking dudes almost always dropped them for me.
And then it just gets silly when you get your Discovery really high.

Really hoping we get fibre optic broadband for DS3 I quite like the PVP in these games but it seems to lag a lot, in my first PVP fight in Bloodborne I was totally wrecking a dude most of the time but then at the end I slashed him like 3 times but apparently hit nothing and he got me from the side -_- he seemed way higher level too would have been a proud win.

Father Gascoinge or whatever? That dude is a tough second boss. DS2's first boss was a joke.
Yeah, but again is really not that big a punishment in any case, you suck enough at first you'll barely notice it

Maybe, I notice my sibling tends to try the competitive "correct" stuff without quote understanding it (at least if his record against me, who barely looks at the meta in the offline games, is any indication), and as such ends up sub par as a result.

He is honestly, it's mostly the beast form that's tricky because of a really easy exploit with him in human form that isn't there for beast form.

Also my personal favorite is building an artillery based army in RoN and just conquering a city so quickly while destroying any military infrastructure

Damn Eye of the Beholder is a frustrating game. Especially the poisonous spiders on the fourth floor.

I've never really cared for the Borderlands series but it's been a lot of fun playing it with the missus.

Super easy though it's only hard when your team mate isn't as good at games as you and runs head first in to a group of strong enemies, gets rekt and then sends them your way before you form a strategy...

It's pretty broken how fast you can get a shield that heals you in the game.

Also the car one hit kills everything you run over so far as I can tell...

We're at level 10, gonna go run over some level 20 suckers and rocket up levels  5 levels above you is almost one hit kill so killing level 20 dudes should be lucrative...n'yeeessss
that's the fun thing about playing with randoms online. it'll either be super easy cuz of teamwork or difficult if there is none

also running over s*** barely gives you exp from what i remember

i have fond memories of that game. i used to play it a lot with one of my exhousemates, and then i carried on playing it after we moved out. i ended up maxing after a while bc i learned how to kill the strongest boss in the game by myself, so then i'd carry random low level teams there so they could level up and get s***mad loot. like literally a thousand items pop out of it once it's dead and it takes more time looking through them all than killing the damn lobster thing idr what it's called

Oh I find it so frustrating doing co-op stuff with random people online, I refuse to do it if you need two people to progress. Like if you both have to press switches on opposite ends of the room half the time they're running around looking at rocks and s*** not actually progressing <_<

It's nice when you get someone who knows what they're doing though.

Haven't noticed a difference with exp, killing people doesn't give you much anyway whereas quests where we are give like 9000+ exp a pop.

Not liked the bosses so far, Mothrak is a massive SOB since you can barely shoot the f***er and he shoots fire bombs at you, we died like 5 times each trying to kill the c***.
Skagzilla was hilariously easy. You'd think that with Godzilla themed enemies the Godzilla one would be the strongest

So, got around to playing Galak-Z and holy s*** I love it. I never thought I would want to play Asteroids and be able to transform into a mech with an energy sword and capable of grabbing and throwing gigantic meteors around like a playtoy... But I guess I do now. More space mech games pls gaming world.

Have you ever played Battalion Wars? I'm pretty sure AW: Dual Strike and Battalion Wars 2 for the Wii unlock secrets in each game if you connect them to each other.

The first Advance Wars and Dual Strike were the best. Day of Ruin wasn't that fun, but the map maker was the best out of all the games.

I love Days of Ruin. It was so dark and bleak compared to the others. An interesting change. Makes me wonder what happened to all the old CO's.

And I agree, the first Advance Wars is my favourite but Days of Ruin is a close second for me personally.

The thing that bugged me the most about Days of Ruin was how easy one mission could be and the next insanely hard, and then the next very easy. The game did not get progressively harder, it was all over the place on difficulty and relied more on luck or brute force than actual strategy.

Do you buy your games or rent them? Off course if the game is good then you buy, what about unknown games? Are you willing to spend to try and pay full price?

I have never rented a game, mostly because I'd be too lazy to send it back. I just wait until the game has been out for a year or two and buy used on Amazon for like $0.50

There is nowhere left to rent games. I just say f*** it and buy them. If I only play them once then no big deal. I get paid again before too long.

So in American and the UK, you have no local video stores like Blockbuster?
