Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Yeah I'd love it if more shooters made you some kind of superhuman soldier...

A soldier getting like 10 kills is pretty amazing in real life but in games you drop them by the hundreds casually and that's not a particularly huge deal.

I'd like more games like Crysis.
Quite loved the universe there but...eh, none of the games really...nailed it I guess. The aliens didn't really do much for the story either feel like it would have worked better as a technologically superior country taking over the world and the resistance fight back with nanosuit soldiers who turn the tide.

Lots of dialogue/choices with a compelling story and the ability to influence ur crew towards lightside/darkside.
Lots of grey choices and unexpected consequences. (Like giving money to some poor guy might allow him to buy a blaster and murder a family)
DAO lets you guide your party members towards some directions, like Leliana and Alistair.
For the grey choices Witcher 3 seems like a good choice. There are very few if any white/black choices.

If you want to feel like an overpowered badass, just play Warframe. Every ninja in there is at the very least strong enough to throw a dagger or throwing knife hard enough to lift soldiers in super heavy armour off the ground and pin them to a wall. Speaking of which I might do a respect thread for the Warframes, or something of the sort.

I want to play that game, but I really think I'd have to make an email so I can select a bow and arrow for my starting weapon or something.

I'm only familiar with the PS4 version and I wasn't required to provide an email. Although that's likely because it was just using the PSN account. Is there an issue with making an email for Warframe?

None, I just don't like the pistol and rifle much compared to the bow and arrow. It didn't let you delete your character and start again or anything, and I haven't found a way to get different beginning weapons without putting allot of time into it. I played it fairly early and didn't get that far.

Oi, you can purchase a beginner bow and arrow in the market for 15,000 credits which can be acquired within like an hour.

Edit: The beginner bow specifically is the Mk-1 Paris.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I quite liked the hour or so I played of Warframe I just felt...no reason to keep going.

That always seems to happen with free to play games for me.

They can be fun but I just think "Why should I play this?" and it's kind of daunting how grindy it is playing free too.
I can spend £15 for 1500 premium credits or I can bust my a*** for like 20 hours of repeated missions to get them without paying?
I choose neither!

And then it feels especially pointless because I've sunk all that time in to getting credits for a level 20 Ultra Mega Uber Epic Gattling Laser Machete Launcher which will ultimately be useless once I get to like level 25.

I think a good way to do it would be to just have you get a base weapon but be able to evolve it as you go, instead of forking out for a singular purchase you'll have no choice but to sell later, endless upgrades so your favourite weapon will always be useful.

Most (realistic, as in, non-cartoony and generally serious) shooters give their protagonist some special ability that makes the kind of death they deal out seem more realistic.

Gordon Freeman has the HEV suit and a bunch of prototype laser weapons.
Crysis obviously has the suit.
Bioshock gives you magical powers.
Titanfall and CoD all have suits.
Adam Jensen has prototype augments.
etc.
I love building PCs. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask. I can help you with almost any kind of PC you'd want to build.

What will you do when you get old?

What about Ajay Ghale or that one dweebe from Far Cry 3?

So far as I can tell there are a lot more "realistic" games where you're just a regular dude though, often a well trained soldier. Or not even, many times you're just a grunt like in Modern Warfare it was your first mission or something.

But the other well trained soldiers you fight could probably miss the side of a building
Aside from that there are just people who are "chosen one"'s or some s***, based on some "destiny" thing but nothing is actually really different about them.

I think being super is far more fun anyway, games aren't reality, let us do some more mad s***.

Having watched more of The Division I must say, Dark Zones look kinda fun. Rest of the game seems pretty meh though, can see the appeal playing with friends but on your own it looks like it'd be really boring and quite annoying.

Also a suspicious amount of the terrorists were black people in the videos I watched

Maybe I should have said "many".

Warframe is probably to your tastes then considering it has a market place to trade plat for Prime weaponry (You can make some serious dough through there), with the exception of about ten weapons (out of like over 100) they're all fairly useful even in meta-game, and the process through mod cards makes sure you're never outmatched if you stay on top of it and upgrade them accordingly.

Honestly I don't think I liked amt of the disgaea Ganges, felt like they relied too much on grinding to get anywhere, at least that I played.
that was the fun part of it for me

i love min/max'ing in these types of games
