I think there's something wrong with my PS4. Maybe twice a day it'll just randomly drop the wifi connection. It comes back immediately, but that 1 second is enough to complete f*** up any online sessions I'm in. No other devices in the house are affected during these times. I have no idea what to do, any suggestions?

Have you tried seeing if the issue is persistent even with a tp cable?
I can't use any cables. The wifi router is downstairs and I'm upstairs.

There shouldn't be a problem. My connection strength is 100% when I run a test, and like I said, no other devices get random cuts.
That's what you'd think. Many times when I've played on my consoles with wifi connection I've lost it during a crucial part, despite tests giving it as perfect. TP cables > wifi any day of the week imo.

If you can, you should at least try.

Not being one who uses his console for online play, I have no experience of this phenomenon. Although Playstation has always had a sketchy internet service.

It's happened 3 times today and it's really starting to get on my nerves. I know for a fact it's not a router problem. My Laptop doesn't lose connection during the times it cuts out. This has NEVER happened with my Wii U, 3DS or Xbox 360 (back in the day, I have used that in a few years), yet it's happening daily with the PS4.

The fact it only cuts out for a second is annoying too. Like it'll say lost connection and throw me out of my online session, but the second I check the playstation home page, everything is back online.

I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it. I tried booting it in safe mode and clicking "Rebuild Database", which I saw online as a potential fix, but that didn't help.

Urgh, I should have gotten the damn xbox one over this

I've never heard of that happening, when did you get it?

If it's passed it's warranty you could open it up perhaps, maybe get a tech savvy friend to have a look.

It's not hard to open up, if I can do it anyone can.

Could be as simple as some dust in an area you can't reach from the outside.

Otherwise luck of the draw I guess definitely not a common problem.

I got it at the end of December, bought it with Christmas money. I did notice it happening a bit in the early days, but I can't say when the problem first happened since I spent most of my time in single player, so whenever I saw it lost wifi connection notification it didn't really register with me.

It's sort of at that point where it happens not enough for me to not play multiplayer at all, but enough for me to be constantly on edge when I'm playing online in case it loses connection.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Doesn't seem that bad actually, sends mostly aimed at preventing teens from getting seduced into hate crimes and extremism. Teaching them phrases to be careful/ waryof and such. Heck I might play it later to see if it does anything strange.
Though that was totally click bait, the sheep is basically just a metaphor. Don't be a sheep and all that.

So I ended up buying The Last of Us. Figured it was about time I made use of getting a PS4 over an Xbox and got a Playstation exclusive. I'm not very far into it yet, but it's a really great game. Even the multiplayer was pretty good from I played. I figured since it was a heavily single-player focused game that the multiplayer would be tacked on.

I never liked it. Felt too realistic for me. I thought they might has well have just made it a film considering how cinematic it was. The cutscenes were so good that I didn't want them to end and force me to actually play.

Really? I taught the gameplay was quite good honestly, as long as I didn't get lost anyway. I enjoyed the sneaking and melee, and the somewhat unique gunplay.

See that's the thing, I hate being stealthy and I dislike realistic controls. Nothing wrong with the game, just not my kind of thing.

Ooooh. I'm addicted to stealth personally, even if I'm not that good. If I can go through like a sneaky ninja than I will at least try that over anything else, with exactly one exception (Bethesda games).

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I loved it just thought normal mode was a touch too easy, you can literally just go punch out everyone I barely ever used guns unless there were Clickers or whatever. Stealth is pretty OP in it.

Oh yeah people are apparently drawing ties with Uncharted and TLOU.

Apparently there's a newspaper in Uncharted 3 that hints at a fungus killing people, Uncharted 3 is set around 2011 I think, the outbreak in TLOU happened in 2013.

It sure seems like it's just an easter egg and there's even Uncharted merchandise hidden in TLOU but it'd be damn cool if they tied the universes together, having Drake accidentally unleash the fungus on the world or be part of the outbreak in 4 would be awesome.
