Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Started Undertale, funny game but the controls are godawful with a keyboard I need to get my PS4/PS3 controller working with my PC...

I just don't understand why people say keyboards are universally superior, joysticks offer so much more fluidity with movement.

Why the hell are keyboards with small joysticks instead of arrow keys not a thing? Or if they are why are they not a big thing? That'd be excellent for games where a mouse isn't required.

Anyway Undertale is good so far, starting with the Pacifist run...not sure if it's supposed to be the easier or harder one but I definitely need to get used to the battle system before taking on Sans in a Genocide run...

...I have no idea what you're talking about in regards to key board. Like the worst I can think are the three buttons.

Not in fps, I can barely handle analogue, movement is fine but the camera is a chore to use almost.

I'd rather have both personally but that is a good point.

I don't think I could get past Papyrus honestly.

I will say I didn't think much of it at first besides it making me smile, but I've noticed whenever I think about what's best X in gaming, my mind keeps bringing up Undertale. Huh.

Does anyone here have a PS4 and GTA 5 and would help me boost a trophy? I was planning on trying to get them all without boosting, but I've just found one that is near impossible without it.

Two trophies in the game require you to play a full set of tennis with another player, one for just playing it and one for winning. Unfortunately it HAS to be a full set, which means if you're opponent quits you're out of luck. While I could probably get the "just play" one by letting me opponent win easily 6 games in a row, I'm finding that any time I start winning myself, the opponent just quits after like 2-3 games. Would anyone be willing to let me just get a full set win so I can get past this stupid challenge?

The worst part is, Rockstar DOES allow only 1 game matches in single player... If you're going to let opponents quit, at least let it count as a win for the player who doesn't quit *sigh*

Edit: While I can't exactly test it until I've won once in every game mode, it seems that the opponent quitting was made to count as a win for yourself a little after the game was released. All the search results I found came from the initial release so I couldn't test it. I'll still need to play a full set apparently, but I can easily lose it on purpose to keep the other player in.

Still though...maybe a boosting thread for trophies/achievements wouldn't be a bad idea.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I mean that to move in a circle you have to mash four buttons in awkward places to do so whereas with a stick you twiddle your thumb around and that's it.
Not saying keyboards don't have their benefits but they suck in some areas, not sure why people can't agree both control systems have their positives.

But yeah why has nobody combined them in a useful way...

There's so many nice touches in the game like at the beginning if you read one of Toriels books you learn about "water sausages" and from then on if you see one and go to it you get "Oh! A water sausage!"
I love tiny little details like that you might never notice but were still put in the game anyway.
Hopefully the game design inspires others to do the same.

Though naturally due to the games success we'll probably be seeing a ton of crappy 2D RPG's that are suspiciously similar in all the wrong ways popping up in the coming years.

I guess? I never really had an issue doing it, though I've seen other people say games need a gamepad when I'm able to use it just fine without.
It depends on the genre, fighting games and those character action games a la MGR or Bayonetta utilize them better, the Arkham games gadgets are best utilized with a gamepad, and I haven't tested it but I think Hotlinr Miami may be better with a gamepad. Possibly, I haven't tested it. Shooters, RTS, and MOBAs though? Keyboard & mouse all the way. Undertale I don't think really benefits one way or another.

Just thought about that, the problem I think is that it leaves you unable to access QEZXC and 123 effectively. Really needed in shooters for example, you can't reload or melee or couch if you can't use that. Heck you might nut be able to use any of the buttons with your left hand, and the mouse only has three buttons on average, or they're on the side and that's gonna be a bit awkward to use a tiny keypad where QEZXC would usually fit the role. That's probably why one hasn't been made.

Spoiler: click to toggle

I suppose, but PMMM managed to avoid that for the most part.

Oh my God.

Freddy was cool. Jason was alright. Predator was good. Leatherface looks dope. But Xenobarakamorph is awesome. "Alien" in MKX has the sickest moveset I've seen on any fighting game. Or maybe it just appeals to me a lot more cause it's freaking xenomorph, but whatever. Killer Instinct or Street Fighter V ain't got nothing on this.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

That alone makes me want to start playing it again.

Did anyone watch Awesome Games Done Quick this year? I had no idea it started at the beginning of January. I just checked out the games they played and it seemed s***ty compared to last year.

I don't think I watched a single playthrough of AGDQ this year. I usually don't, I am not the biggest fan of speedruns.

It was mostly all any% runs which I find completely uninteresting and unimpressive. I much prefer too see a game beaten 100%.

Hey, if anyone's interested in playing Warframe on the PS4. I'm down to help guide anybody. The game is free on PS4, XBone, and PC. I can help with any of those three (can't play it on PC though)

I've been playing FFIX and I'm not actually enjoying it as much as I did with seven. It has very slow combat and too much talking. Plus bosses don't award EXP. FFVII didn't need any level grinding to beat the game. This one demands it in spades.

On the plus side every boss has something to steal, they are much more challenging and the world is generally more interesting. If the combat was quicker then I wouldn't be complaining so much but damn I never realised how long random battles take in this game.
