I will now talk about fallout 4,
It probably says something that I'm still thinking about random raiders having a freaking mini nuke and power armor. Just baffles me so much. Feels like power armor has been degraded. On the bright side the BoS are from the capital wasteland so that takes care of that.

Also how long does it take to find the baby anyway? I'm mostly asking because I want to do some other stuff soon that's more out of the way, but it seems really ooc for the charger I've built to just putz around doing side quests. New Vegas is allot better in that regard, revenge can wait depending on the person, missing baby... Well I'm playing a mother who just lost her husband so yeah.

Does black widow give any special dialogue by chance? Or the other perks as well.
Eh I think it's fine, if Fat Man's are lying around it'd be dumb if only you can use them always thought they were weird kind of rewards like...I just beat 50 Raiders and got a Fat Man...why didn't they use the Fat Man!?

It doesn't take that long if you blast through the story quests, you can still play the game after. You might be under leveled for a lot of the fighting if you do though.

And yeah some questionable choices with the direction, I get what they were doing with just flinging you in to the world but they should have had like an hour of you surviving, learning the world before you can go free(and then get the option to change your character so you can skip the tutorial area)

I mean it's a bit dumb that you can get out the vault, immediately go to Diamond City picking up caps stashes as you go...how does your character even know they're of value?

Guess it's hard to cater to everyone, same reason cutscenes were basically taken out of MGSV the modern gamer can't seem to handle anything a bit slow. If you're not instantly blowing s*** up it's "boring"
But this wasn't a raider base it was a bill board! There are like two of them! With ghouls on all sides! No name no story attached to them, I'm fine with raiders having them, but they need a story of their own because it's a freaking fatman. Like how did these guys get these, what's their personality, how'd they refurbish that power armor? You'll never know, because they don't even have a name, they're just "raider scum."

Alright, I just want to get to a natural point for my character to start doing other quests that are more out of the way.

Yeah, honestly I think having something like that is just really bad, with FO3, hey maybe you figure "what a deadbeat" and just say screw him, in New Vegas its a personal matter, you can decide what that means to you. In 4... You're pretty horrible if you delay your quest to save your flesh and blood.

It is pretty gamey honestly. Especially when I see my brother play it. Reloading over and over to succeed at a speech check.

Honestly I think this game's story is pretty strange for something of this genre. Not sure I'm a fan of the skills bring taken out either though, feels really dumbed down. And voicing the character... I think that led to allot of bad stuff for the interactions. Like I get four choices one of which is usually "sarcastic" whatever that means. In nv I remember I had decisions based on barter, stealth, and demolitions skill that I could use to convince Good Springs to all chip in. Here there seems to be none of that variety. Heck I'm not even sure if getting black widow does anything for dialogue.

Worst Value:

Xenoblade Chronicles X. Paid £35 for this triple A game and I didn't like it.

Guild Wars 2. What a crappy MMO this is. Played it exactly once.

Best Value:

The Temple of Elemental Evil. I bought this game in 2001 and I'm still playing it today.

Civilisation V. The game is so random in its nature that it never seems to get old. Plus mods can make it more enjoyable. (Especially the cheat mode one :p )

Worst value, ea battlefront. I have no PlayStation now, so the game is useless. Good thing there were for other games on the deal. Like Bounty Hunter and podracing.
Best value, uuuuuuh... Okay so Europa Universalis 3 most likely, and for recent, it's probably undertale judging from how 15/19 of my tabs are undertale fan fiction, and it's just ten bucks, the soundtrack is also something I listen to regularly

Worst Value: The Sims 4 so far, I think. I paid a fair bit of money for it off Origin, but haven't played it at all, almost. Elder Scrolls Online gets honorable mention for how little I played it.

Best Value: Any Football Manager game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Mario 64. I play them so often and it's really fun. (Brawl is done for most likely due to Smash 4)

I never really liked GB games apart from DBZ Gekitouden and Wario.

I loved a lot of GB games since I grew up with them. Most Mario games on the Game Boy and Color were amazing.

Unpopular opinion time, but I think Evolve is a great value considering it's only 10 dollars on Amazon right now and they finally released a version of the game that has all of the DLC. I'm still playing it even though it came out ages ago. A lot of people weren't fans of this game, but I love it. I think it puts a nice twist on cooperative online gaming. It's similar to your typical co-op shooter, but it has monsters... The only thing I dislike about it is that it requires you to have a great team and make use of your mics to win against a skilled monster, and almost no one uses mics online for whatever reason. You also get stuck with really terrible team members a lot of the time.

It's essentially a walking simulator where you just happen to stumble upon a giant monster every now and then. It's not a very good asymmetrical multiplayer experience.

I found it great it's fun hunting for the monster, especially with headphones, listening out for growls and footsteps and figuring out where to go to find it.

Or quietly trying to evade the Hunters through the bushes.

But then the Hunter team is full of complete idiots and either way all tension is lost because either you win effortlessly or you die, screaming "HEAL ME YOU STUPID f***ER THAT'S WHAT A MEDIC IS FOR I ASKED YOU TO SWAP BUT NOOO"
Every damn time. Almost.

I love the core gameplay of Evolve but the greed of the publishers and the stupidity of the players ruins the experience.

Apparently they have enough money for Evolve 2 so maybe they'll fix it and make it worthwhile to play on your own(like by having a story)

A campaign would be awesome, there is a pretty cool story built up in there through all the tidbits Hunters say but...well, it never goes anywhere. Seems like a cool universe we only see a tiny fraction of.
I just hope that wasn't the idea, lovely lady the game out with DLC to essentially make Evolve 2 the real one.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Was in February.

Sad that it's only just been completed and only just has content worthy of a £50-60 game...

Fixed my PS4's disc drive.

I forgot how the internals were laid out, the ribbon cable I slightly mangled isn't anything to do with the disc drive so...well, I guess that one works fine

The one for the disc drive as a little bit damaged but didn't look like it should have been broken.

I think what happened was I actually bent the cable around the wrong way and somehow still slotted it in to where it goes...
f*** knows how I pulled that off.
It's that or a slightly loose cable did it, either way it's fixed and I cba playing Bloodborne now so it was ultimately pointless :w00t:

Also still have 4 extra screws, no idea where they go.

My PS4 arrived today. Gotta say I'm disappointed with the...uh...headset that came with it. If you can call it that. The Xbox 360 had a much better one.

Also i've been out of gaming for a while, do all games auto-install onto the console these days? I've been waiting for GTA 5 to install for about 25 minutes, and it's only at 68%. And if I have to install EVERY game then my HDD will run out of space very fast.

Yes every game needs to install but you probably won't run out of space unless you have about 20 games.

I hate their headsets too. We should be allowed third party ones.
