By the way, have you sold that alienware PC yet? I bet you could get a pretty decent sum on ebay.

An i7 actually could be a pretty good choice now that games are for real starting to use more than 4 cores. If this were three years ago, it might/would be a waste, but now it could be a pretty prudent choice.

Yeah not much of a fan of Drop Zone...it's not bad just Walker Assault is where it's add.

But damn right it's unbalanced. I've played maybe 12-15 games and I've seen the Rebels win once.

However I think that's mainly because people don't get in ships and attack the Walkers, so the end up surviving easily.
This game would greatly benefit from a spotting system of some sort, so you could tag the Walker and remind people they need to work on destroying it in order to win.

That would make it a lot like Battlefield but it would still be good, so long as you couldn't see infantry on the map moving just where they were last, so you can alert team mates someone is sneaking around them.
Cycle Rifle is beast.
I'm actually better with it than anything else

Also, not a fan of the limitless grenades thing they should have a cooldown and a limit of 5 per life at least unless you pick more up, way too easy to spam them.
I'm yet to see the rebels win, we managed to take down 1 of the walkers but the other got through and won them the game.
There is a star card that makes your weapons more effective against vehicles and you can unload your gun until it goes on cooldown then switch to the sniper, use that and then swap back the cooldown is gone and you can do quite a bit of damage to the walkers.

I have to say that I am a big fan of the minimap how it is, I could never get the hang of the maps and the spotting on Battlefield but saying that I was a massive noob on them games :D

The sniper is so damn powerful, 90 in a hit or 100 in a headshot with a cooldown that low is crazy.
The nade spam on Drop Zone is insane due to the low cooldown, people just repeatedly throw them at the drop and its then impossible to take it.

EDIT: I have an i7-4770k and it is a beast on games, shame my GPU broke and I'm stuck with a £50 one for now, Can't even start to get my CPU going on games before my GPU craps out.

Nah it's basically just my girlfriends PC will sell it if she decides she wants a new one but she only plays The Sims on it so not really necessary.

Yeah I might wait for a January sale and try one out I believe my port is 1150 or something pretty sure that's the main detail to be concerned with...don't want to go getting one that doesn't fit...

Yeah it's unfortunate that you really need team work to win as the Rebels while most people just want to lone wolf it and max out their k/d and for the Imperials playing like that wins them the game anyway :errm: adjustment is most definitely needed.
Some pretty ace pilots out there, I think a good balance would be to make ships do more damage to the Walkers since if you're focused on them it won't be long before you're taken down.

Yeah I think 90 per hit is a bit much, 75 for chest shot, 50 or 40 maybe less for below the chest would be fair I guess. Would be pretty OP to team up with a friend and have them shoot someone once then you annihilate the person with your sniper.

Socket 1150. Anything that begins with a 4 will fit (with the exception of the 4820K, 4930K, 4960X, but those cost loads of money and probably aren't sold much anymore). I recommend the i5-4590 or the i7-4790. You can get the K versions too, but for you, it's just a small clock speed bump. Not worth anything more than a $10 premium IMO.

Awesome, thanks for that I've saved the i7-4790 in my document of PC specs and stuff

Ah holy s*** there's one on Amazon for £239 down from £385...I totally could but...should probably wait. Inb4 never a deal like that when I have the money.

So No Man's Sky might have it's release date revealed at Paris Games Week.

About damn time.

That's the 27th though...meaning if it is out this year it has no more than 2 months after the reveal until release, that's pretty crazy. Hopefully that's how it will be.
Apparently it's pretty much done and they're just holding it back to release alongside Sony's VR headset.
Ideally that's true since by the time it's released it will be well polished.

Wouldn't it be funny if the game was only half done but they released it since it's pretty much certain nobody would find the unfinished parts?

Remember that the i7-4790's MSRP is $312/£203. I know prices are higher over there, but you shouldn't be paying much more than that. £385 is beyond the pale.

The Battlefront Beta is cool, but it's too bad only one stage is actually cool. The Tatooine stage is pretty dull.

as for the battlefront concerns..... I think it is kinda of a dick move to state if your video ram is not 2 Gbyte you are not allowed, even though your system could potentially runs the game at high....

Crazy Awesome Legend

Also you could have 8gb of ram but only like 200mhz clock speed for each stick. Memory isn't everything.

Yeah that s***'s crazy I'll be sure to search around before actually buying, Amazon is nice and easy but probably way better prices elsewhere.

Yeah I've had soooo much fun with the Beta but I'm not entirely sold on it. It's too casual and CoD like, they really should have made it more team based.
I like the idea of the partner system but they should have just went with squads from Battlefield, so the better player could say to them that they ought to be f***ing going for the objective...

The vehicular warfare is kinda silly too. I like the battle pick ups generally but the speeders and such are daft, they're so random.
Seconds in to a match one team can have 3 fighters in the air while the other team hasn't found any.

Which means the other team can just totally dominate the air space which gives them a massive advantage.
Not to mention there's like 10 seconds before you can control your craft so other players can just camp the spawn zone and instantly shoot you down.

It's really f***ing cool but no way can they fix all it's issues in a month, spawn locations and gun balance is probably it.

Theres been discussions recently about if they have put the specs higher than needed to promote getting new hardware. All just conspiracies though but I can see some of points made.

My GPU broke and I needed to get a replacement so I could still use my computer and play games even if on low so until I could afford a better card I just got a ASUS 730 1GB and I run the game on low but it runs extremely well, not had any FPS drops or issues. I haven't tested it on higher settings yet. Someone else I know who is running a Radeon HD6670 1GB card also runs it without any problems so I'm not sure where there minimum specs came from.
Maybe they were just high balling it incase people couldn't run it at beta and moaned.

I have found out that all the pickups spawn in set locations, there is a Tie Figher spawn each side of the broken AT-AT when playing imperials at the start which can make it fun when playing with a few other and you want early air control but it can be unfair and I completely agree about the ship spawns, I really hate the spawn timer as half the time you either get rammed mid spawn by someone who doesn't know how to fly or just straight up killed.

Yeah they really need to put more work in to that...I wonder if at some point they'll work in hangars or just spawning in as a fighter like in Battlefield titles?

That would work better, less noobs picking up highly important ships and failing with them.

In Walker Assault it's kind of a big deal for them to be shooting exposed Walkers but half the time they're just going around doing their own thing, shooting infantry which barely helps.

Hope they work on the PS4 draw distance for flight also, you can only really see infantry a few seconds before you hit the ground...not ideal.

Got a Fallout 4 T-shirt today for being one of the first 10,000 to order the Pip Boy Edition from GAME, awesome.
Still waiting on a new bank card...worried about updating details and orders screwing up still and that's not helping <_<

The amount of times I see ships focusing the AT-ATs whilst the shields are still up and then not worrying about them when the shields are dropped...
I don't mind people using the ships as everyone needs practice but when people just ram other ships really frustrates me.

I have the same problem running it on low but I've started learning the choke points of each phase so I just shoot along them before I can see people :D

You don't know how jealous I am that you are getting the pip-boy edition! It looks so damn amazing.

Well, sometimes it's all you can do if the enemy team is dominating the sky with people who have like 20+ killstreaks lol

Better to kamikaze to take one out instead of letting them wipe out your team but yeah it's pretty crap how just anyone can get in one and utterly fail, same with heroes.

I like that you get these things as battle pick ups but I think they should also be killstreak rewards too, so more often than not the skillful are getting them as they ought to be.
Seen plenty people take heroes and get wrecked within 10 seconds, happened to me too...

Pretty sure I seen a training mode in the menu so hopefully we can practice with them against bots.

Yeah can't wait just hope it's not like 3-4 days late like Phantom Pain was...

Contemplating ordering the base game as well just so it's here right away then trading the spare...but then that's a huge waste if they're both late or there the same day

Just realized something, you have to give the Fox Engine some credit, being able to achieve this high standards on even lower consoles like the Xbox 360 and ps3.
