Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

The parkour at least gets more polished as the games go on.

I still remember playing the first AC, climbing your first tower and looking at Jerusalem is a pretty cool gaming experience even if the game itself is meh.
It's a shame they don't put many grand vistas in them these days.

I don't get how the new one is supposed to work. How can you be an Assassin when most people are going to just wipe you out with a revolver or something? The AI is obviously going to have to be retarded...
That or the Assassins are going to be bullet proof.

Still not sold on the Mad Max game.

Feel like I might get it though just to pass the time at least, so far there's nothing really impressive about it. The visuals look very true to the series but it looks fairly casual, bet there's food and water everywhere that magically respawns somehow.

It's almost a year since Dragon age inquisition released in november 2014.

What is your opinion on the game now after all the dlc?

I respect Bioware because they still try to fix their game, its been almost a year and there still releasing patches. But i hate how Bioware and ea conducts business with all these worthless jaws of hakkon avaar pack or quani pack that charges you $5 a pack. Rip off. I'm waiting for end of year sale to buy those dlc, EA must of think their fan base are stupid to be willing to pay for a couple of armor and horses.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

It's crazy how long it takes developers to fix games these days...I mean come on, surely they know something is broken before they release it?

I think they need to just calm the f*** down really like with BF4 it's pretty clear they rushed it out the door to compete with CoD.
Even though if they waited a couple of months and polished it a bit they could have totally stole CoD's fanbase with a superior product. By then people would have started getting bored of it then there's this new game out everyone'd flock to.

It's like developers are too focused on holiday season sales...without realizing a broken product hurts a games reputation more than anything. If your game is broken holiday sales won't save it.

I kinda hope Sony and Microsoft introduce a refund policy now just so we can give s***ty devs/publishers the finger when they pull this crap and get our money back, it should go a long ways to fixing gaming.

Though I wonder if it could hurt it too, like people buying a game, completing it in a day then saying it was s*** even though they loved it and getting their money back...
Guess something like a 3 hour policy could work, if you play something longer than that you're surely enjoying it somewhat.

Seriously, why does Bungie think doing "scheduled maintenance" during the afternoon hours (US central time) is a good idea? That's a huge chunk of the fan base that can't play. Why not do it, oh I don't f***ing know, at 4 in the morning when everybody is asleep?! f***ing stupid.

It shouldn't take them long to fix games at all, but then again I feel if the game isn't finished then it shouldn't be released...it's a shady business tactic to get money.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I don't think an unfinished game is necessarily a bad thing, an unstable and unfinished game is.

I think it's fine if an unfinished game is released in a stable state and gradually more is added to it(for free!) like with Evolve how they added Arena mode in.
Not that Evolve had enough content for a full release anyway but only game I've played that's done it recently.

New features are always welcome but not if they're blatantly held back just so publishers can charge us for them when they ought to be in the game already or in some cases are hidden in the data, that s*** is utter bulls***.

Anyone got the game Turmoil on Steam? Kinda overpriced and not much replay value but damn it's addictive. It's in Early Access so more will be added gradually.

Basically set in the 19th century and you and 3 AI bots are in the oil drilling industry, have to pick a plot of land from a map and drill around it using various tools and upgrades to find oil.

It's one of those "just one more level!" games...

Crazy Awesome Legend

At least they can patch broken games now. I have at least two Sega rpgs where the save system is broken. One of the games even brought the bug over to its Steam port.

The only reason they had less glitches overall compared to today is because of how much more simple they were. Problem is some publishers are expecting today's games to be produced in the same amount of time as it took them back in the 80s and 90s. So naturally we get many more bugs.

Notable companies who don't do this are Nintendo, SquareEnix, Atlus and Telltale Games.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Hopefully that will change soon, games get more and more flak for being broken upon release than ever before.

Millions of people still buy them though.

I think publishers need to give developers more freedom. They seem to care more about release dates than progress.
They want to announce when their game will be "ready" as soon as possible and then people lose faith when it gets delayed, 'cause it's not something you can predict.

Why not just do what Bethesda did and only announce things when they're basically done?

Fallout 4 wouldn't have had nearly as much hype now if it was announced last year but with what they did it's sure to be a best seller.

Seems kinda...obvious really.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I think it looks really meh.

Looks great as in it's awesome how you can shoot through walls and whatnot, probably one of the most realistic shooters available on all platforms(besides Wii-U)

But there's hardly any content or re-playability, looks like it'll be awesome...for about 10 games until you've seen it all.

It's a shame 'cause Rainbow Six games are awesome, this is just like a mini version, they should have went for a full was looking forward to Patriots the gunplay in these is always great.
Vegas was tons of fun online.
Especially when you and a dude clash in a hallway and just kind of circle each other while reloading because melee isn't a part of the game...

Lol Fallout 4 not ending after the main story and not having a level cap has been the number one trending thing on Facebook for hours...

But why pay full price for a game not get your moneys worth. If I'm going to pay $60, then I should my $60 worth out of it, not 59, 50, 40, 30, 20 or even 10. And what about people who pre-ordered a game and spent sometimes all the way up to $100 for the game and it's not finished, don't you think they would want their full moneys worth...not an unfinished game.

This is why there's a thing called Beta testers and a non disclosure agreement, have Beta testers for each platform on top of the in house testers. Because a lot of them just try to finish the game and side quests without any bugs, out house Beta testers will intentionally try to break the game and push the game as far as they have to and even do things in a different order than you're supposed to. Sure it costs extra, but in the long-run it saves the company tons of money and it makes them look good for releasing a finished game and it shows the consumer they care more about finishing the game then filling their wallets.

I think it's fine so long as huge chunks of story aren't missing and it works properly.

I mean unfinished like they'll keep developing the game and adding stuff, kind of like Minecraft. Version 1.0 was out a looooooong time ago and even though you pay about the same price since then they've went up to 1.8(or is it higher now not played in ages)

Unfinished as in the developers still have more ideas to put in to the game and will continue to do so but still being a stable product.
I don't think they should waste months adding really minor features and shizz when the game is fine without them. When like half the game is missing though that's another story <_<

Honestly I think it's a great idea from the publishers viewpoint also because generally gamers are pretty sheepish these days, as soon as something else comes out no matter how good your game is people will flock to what's new and forget, continual updates with new content is a good way to keep people interested.
Which is probably why games with weekly challenges and such last a lot longer, people have more of a reason to stay.

You could argue that Minecraft was finished when it originally came out, then the creators decided to start adding stuff to build on what's already there.

But it's the principle of the thing, it's a shady business move to get money quick, and it shows the consumer they care less about them and more about making money. I know this process, I've worked retail for 12 years and a lot of it was spent in marketing and customer service.

They'll probably add maps as they go on. Sure, it'll probably be paid DLCs, but it's an expandable game.
