I've been playing Earthbound starring Ness from Super Smash Bros. Pretty fun game despite how basic it is. If you reach level 8 then you can kill the second boss in one hit with a spell you get.

I still prefer more traditional rpgs like Final Fantasy 1-5 and the Dragon Quest series.

It's the weekend, and I'm not sure what to play now. AC4's plat is practically in the bag for me now. Multiplayer, as expected, is a pain, partly because i suck eggs at it and partially because my modem haaaates my ps3 so half the tme I usually get disconnected from the online. Might go back and try to plat the other games if my soul can bear it. Also have GOW, DMC, and Prince Of Persia HD collections to be completed. Meh, dunno what to do.

Oh wow have fun getting the platinum for the first DMC...

I don't know if that one is really difficult on it's own or if it's because the controls are vastly different to all the others but DAMN, it's hard enough on Easy...
I rented that but never got around to completing any of the games.

Still not even completed the special edition of DMC3...it just feels pointless since I can't get trophies on it...

I feel you with connection problems.
Although mine rarely cuts out on it's own people usually reset it without asking if anyone is doing anything important >.> (games are important)
I wish that if connection was going to be s*** it would be consistently s*** not jumping around all the time.

Any Dark Cloud fans here?

Dubbed as Sony's answer to Nintendo's Zelda series, it was truly an underrated classic that doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves. Shame they only re-released it on the Japanese version of PSN and not other areas around the world. I'd love to get the chance to play that game again.

Here's hoping that Dark Cloud 3 gets released one day.

Aww crap, that sucks. I think they still might be selling PS2's in stores (they stopped producing them back in January so it's availabillity is scarce I would imagine). Or you can try finding it in one of those Flea Market kind of stores.

I still have my PS2 and it works really well considering I bought it over 10 years ago lol. I can't find my Dark Cloud game along with FFX/FFX-2, and MKDA. Theres no MK related PS2 games on the PSN unfortunatly :( FFX/FFX-2 will see an HD re-release in Q1 2014 though. I'm pretty psyched for that!

I recently checked out some of Dark Cloud's music again and I got to say, it has one pretty great OST! So much nostalgia!

I have options if I'm gonna buy a PS2, but I don't really have the money for it.

Really, you know a place where it's sold? I bet it would be pretty had to find the old model though lol.

The used PS2's that are being sold are like $30-50. EB Games in Canada sells new PS2's for $110 as well.

I can find both. There is a norwegian site that sells all sorts of retro stuff. Most of it pretty expensive because it is retro. Mostly the NES and SNES stuff is expensive.

Well actually I just checked out the EB Games Canada website and theres virtually no PS2's/PS2 games in stock anymore lol. It's hard to believe that all the Gen 6 Console/Games (GameCube, PS2, Xbox) are pretty much out of stock.

We have flea markets in Canada (or North America in general) that serve the same purpose. Seeing that Gen 6 material is scarce now, it's time for me to make a trip to the flea market again lol. It's too bad that their service is piss-poor there.

Wow those Dark Cloud games really do look like Zelda...

I wish games wouldn't be region specific.
Fair enough if it takes them a long time to be translated but it would be nice in future that, other than law restricted ones, every game was available everywhere.

There's so many JRPG's that look absolutely fantastic that are strictly Japanese with no hope of translation.
And they wonder why people illegally download them and make translation patches...

Anyone play RPG Maker games?
Some of them are great, I'd love to make one one day.
