Yeah it is weird that they would be talking about it this early, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it was gonna be part of E3. Could just be bs though.

I haven't really either, but the gameplay trailers are promising and it's getting good reviews. Hopefully it's better than Dragon Age: Inquisition. I really liked Origins, but the game was constantly crashing; completely unplayable.

Just beat Star Ocean: First Departure. Horrendous voice acting but very enjoyable sci fi rpg. Now I need to start the second one.

Very excited.

I do think it's a bit overhyped, it's so big that there's no way stuff won't get repetitive but it certainly looks interesting.

I just hope there's plenty to do, not like a billion collectibles just interesting tidbits and items all over, like Fallout or Elder Scrolls where there's something to find in every nook and cranny.

With such a big world it'd be boring if it was 90% empty.

Also what is it like 35 minutes on horseback from one side to the other? That is completely mental.

Hope mine isn't late...
Went for the standard one hardly a collector if I've never played any others

Also sex on a unicorn, GOTY for sure.

Does anyone feel this generation is a let down?

Alot of these games are not delivering.

You've got to wait a while before making a statement like that; we've been in this generation for about 1 year and 5ish months, plenty of time for games to wow everyone. I mean, games like Bloodborne, Sunset Overdrive, Dead Rising 3 and Evolve have already impressed people and shown that the new generation is capable of doing quite a lot.

What are you talking about in particular?

- Define generation.
- Which games?

So far I will agree with you. We've had Destiny which was really disappointing. Fifa 15 which was barely different to 14 when 14 was leagues better than 13, Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed Unity, Dragon Age 3, The Sims 4, Thief, Watch Dogs and Titanfall. Oh look, most of those are made by Ubisoft and E.A. What a surprise.

Interesting that I haven't been disappointed by a single Nintendo game so far. Not even Captain Toad, because I knew exactly what it was going to be.

If we're speaking strictly hardware, PS4 and X1 was doomed to fall behind early. They are using DX11, while the PC will get DX12 very soon, if it doesn't have it already. Meanwhile you can't modify the consoles, while you can with PCs.

As for the games themselves, only Nintendo has been delivering so far. I reckon the next Uncharted will give PS4 an edge.

Consoles don't use DX11, they have their own unique low-level APIs. DX12/Mantle are similar to what consoles have had all along.

DX12 is packaged with Windows 10.

This generation of hardware - ps4, xbone one games are disappointing with resolutions, game-play and story. Why is it so hard for them to make a game that runs 60 fps at 1080p?

The ps4 has 8gb of ram and powerful graphics card, alot of these games still have long loading times, and the graphics isn't anything special.

By that logic no because the Wii-U's hardware is pitiful compared to the other consoles nevermind PC.

Once all the hardware masturbating dies off people will be forced to make good games or consumers won't give a s***.

I'm not sure what people expect, games are mostly crap at the start of pretty much all the gens.
Look at last gen most of the best games came out like a few years before this one.

We'll likely see a big jump when developers stop being so f***ing greedy and make more current gen exclusive titles instead of watering them down to fit on last gen too.
