Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Yeah I can imagine them being awkward on a keyboard at least. Less security with Steam too.

I haven't bought a Mortal Kombat game in like 10 years, kinda tempted but I've never been good at them. Which reminds me...

Jeremy Jahns vs AngryJoe:

Hilarious how much Jeremy wrecks him.

I love how shameless some games on Steam are with blatantly copying the style of other games, particularly Minecraft there are a s*** ton of suspiciously similar looking games or different ones but with the exact same art style.
Come on really?

Actually, I'm surprised Microsoft of all companies doesn't sue them...

I wonder why Nintendo are opting for DLC this late in the game?

They better watch their step 'cause they've started it right when people are deciding DLC is a terrible thing...even though it's the only reason games don't cost way more...

If they ever have anything like skins for characters they're going to get crapped on so hard.

Or they won't 'cause hypocrisy. Kinda hard to tell.

Doesn't seem to be any games I want this month :'( it was great having one each month.
Least there's Witcher next month not had a new open world game in forever.
Nintendo have been doing DLC for a while now, and they haven't gotten much flak for its because they've done it very well; AMK8, for example. £7.99 for 8 courses, 3 new characters and quite a few new vehicle customisation pieces. Or, £11.99 for that pack and the new one, which consists of another 8 courses and 3 characters, as well as even more vehicle customisation pieces. They don't feel like they were originally meant to be in the game; it feels like they were made after the game was finished, which is great.

People have decided DLCs are a bad thing? Since when? I've heard nothing like that.

DLCs are a great thing if they aren't too expensive. Nintendo are actually making DLCs reasonable and up until April 1st of this year you could actually use Club Nintendo codes to get stuff for free too.

Another great example of DLCs being done well are the efforts of Overkill Software. They release a lot of content for Payday 2 for free and occasionally the DLC that cost $4.99. That's great marketing.

Really? I hear that everywhere.

DLC is a part of the game that should have been there from the start, but instead they charge us for it. Most of the time it's meaningless overpriced crap. Like Oblivion's horse armor for $4.99.

Good DLCs are like expansions; something that actually expands the game and takes effort to develop. DLC like Skyrim's Dragonborn fits under this category.

I love building PCs. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask. I can help you with almost any kind of PC you'd want to build.

I'm hyped for Mewtwo and Lucas being in the game. Both are well deserved for the spot of DLC.

As for my hopes and realistic predictions for the Smash Ballot, these are the 5 characters I want to get in as DLC.

1. Wolf (Star Fox)
2. King K. Rool (Donkey Kong)
3. Solid Snake (Metal Gear)
4. Roy (Fire Emblem)
5. Isaac (Golden Sun)

I also believe the Ice Climbers will get in separate from the poll as they are already done though that will depend on when Sakurai can fix the 3DS limitation problem.

I wonder who I should vote for to be in smash
Also I need to get a wii-u
For smash , Mario kart 8 and the new crossover fire emblem game

But god damn that new fire emblem
You have two different story paths and a third one as well via dlc
That game is gonna be huge

Ruka is a dude

Just started playing Dota 2 a few days ago. Seems to have quite a steep learning curve from what I can tell. It's just the sheer amount of items, heroes, powers etc that's overwhelming me at the moment.

It's been said for a long time now people use it as their entire basis for why a game is awful.

Like with Evolve there are a ton of overpricad completely optional skins, so that somehow makes the game not worth playing even though they have no affect on gameplay what so ever and are there just if you want them.

That's just a recent example any game with pre-order DLC etc gets s*** on so much just for that even if it's completely minor things like weapon or character skins you don't have to buy.

Free to play games with buy-able in-game currency you ABSOLUTELY need to make any kind of progress are the true evil.
Spend 3000 hours grinding for x amount of money or just pay £3 and have it in seconds! Yay, what fun gaming is!

I wonder if the next gen of consoles will start allowing mods?

It's done wonders for PC gaming and not just because of nude skins.

Would be cool but most mods are pretty crap and pointless.

I'm not sure developers would enjoy people improving their work either on PC they can't really do anything about it unless people are trying to sell it.

I would prefer games just getting cheat codes again.

DLCs piss people off if it is any of the following.

1.) True Endings (ala Asura' Wrath)

2.) Content that was so obviously cut out from the Main Game to nickle and dime you in order to get the actual experience. (Capcom's fighting games a few years ago were guilty of this, MvC3 and SFxT no? As well as Asura's Wrath. However, they also made some other cool DLC such as Akuma vs Asura and Asura vs Ryu)

3.) Overpriced content with nothing particularly worth the price

4.) Different coloured versions of the same wear that already exists (DOA I'm looking at you...)

These are the most apparent ones IMO.

I don't get what the fuss about most of it is though...

Literally does not affect you to not buy any of it and obviously some people will so unless it's important to the story of the game, gives other players a huge advantage or gives you like 2 minutes of content for £15 what's the issue?

The most meaningless DLC I see people complaining about really like skins...don't like it then don't buy it
If it makes people invisible so they can kill everyone easily then yeah that's pretty s***ty but that doesn't happen often.

Not that I don't agree a lot of the actual content you get in "expansions" is really s***ty these days but don't like it don't buy it, simple.

Wish they'd go back to expansions like you get in Fallout or Elder Scrolls, whole new areas filled with stuff instead we get like a mission or 2 in Far Cry 4 which...well they suck and Valley of the Yeti's is literally nothing all that new except oh there's Yeti's.

I have never bought any dlc except for awakening
Which was worth it, just extra maps where you can get characters and items, and bonus gold and experience maps etc....
Was well priced too

Planning on getting dlc for smash and Mario kart 8 when I get a wii-u

The DLC that most people complain about is the stuff that's released on, or close to, the release date of the game.

The concept of DLC is a great one... make a game, release it... give it some extra stuff later on that maybe hadn't been thought of or made... but the ways companies are abusing it now to squeeze cash isn't cool.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I don't see a problem with day one DLC unless it makes the game pay to win really. Better than games costing more than they do now upfront.

Also people don't seem to get they have to treat the general gamer like sheep they have to keep adding DLC or gamers will pretty much forget about the game when the next big one comes out.

Wonder how many people play Advanced Warfare's multiplayer and don't just have it because of zombies.

This is why I prefer to stick to single player games because it's so annoying not being able to get a game in multiplayer just because 2 months after release the game isn't cool any more.
"Ugh devs want to steal our money! Going to spend £40 on a game play it for two months and buy another game while complaining about £4 DLC"
