Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I guess they just took shortcuts because obviously everyone was going to be all OMG ZOMBIES\!!!11!!

I know it's an arcadey kind of mode but I think they should really adjust how strong the zombies are going down after 2 swipes is just ridiculous it should take like at least 6 but with the addition that they're much harder to kill so you're going to have them swarming you easier.
Why do zombies even punch you?

It'd be great if it was a more horror orientated arcade survival action game where if the horde catches you you get ripped apart.
The original ones on WAW were far scarier the atmosphere in the first map was damn freaky they should go back to that it's just casual action now.

The Order 1886 is...fairly average so far.

Apparently it's only like 5 hours of gameplay plus 2 and a half hours of cutscenes, I hope that's not true seems such a waste it's a cool world they've built here and the graphics are cool.

Unlike Evil Within the black bars don't give me a headache, probably because the camera angles actually seem designed around them...

Still though it's fairly disappointing if it really is that short.

Not sure why game developers just can't manage a >6 hour game unless it's open world or really really slow these days.
I get that they can make it have hundreds upon hundreds of hours of gameplay and only receive the same £60 as a crappy 3 hour game but if they make a game that good well then everyone's going to want to buy future expansions and whatnot.

It's incredibly lazy really.

Hence why I stick by my opinion that game pricing should be relative to length, quality and maybe budget instead of everything being £40-60, besides indies(which have more content a LOT of the time)

I haven't batted an eye-lid at Order 1886 ever since the developer said something about wanting as close a cinematic experience as possible. Too cinematic for me.

I read the reviews for it on Amazon and everyone pretty much said it wasn't worth the price.

I want to make a point about this modern day trend which criticises games that are "Only" seven hours long. As some of you may know, I'm really into my retro games. Most of them don't even last an hour. In fact I can beat at least one of them in about twenty minutes. So I think it's laughable that people complain when a game only lasts for a few hours. I can beat Resident Evil HD remake in about an hour and a half and I still love the game. So it's a stupid argument in my opinion.

Yeah but they use technology that basically limits them from being very long or are more arcade games.
Also there's not a lot of gameplay variety in them if you're good at one you're probably going to be good at most of them especially platformers.

It's especially bad in a linear game.
Like with Fallout 3, you can complete the main quest in like 1-3 hours if you know where to go but there's so much more to do in the game that it's not likely you will.

In games where you literally can't do anything but go forward in the story being short and unfulfilling is just awful for £60 I don't care how good the graphics are or how long it took to make if I'm buying a story game I want more than a slow paced, short cliché-filled game.

Can't think of a single game since MGS4 that I enjoyed so much I wanted to complete it again and again. Discounting remasters.

Order 1886 came out like a day ago and people have already completed it in under 3 hours with no kind of walkthrough or cheats being available and not even speedrunning it.
That's just abysmal.
It's technically great, mechanics, gameplay is good, graphics and it runs fine but beyond that...not much else.

The only current game I play over and over is Resident Evil HD and that's only to try and compete with the speed running community.

Retro wise I'm practising Golden Axe. My next target is beating it under 20 minutes.

Wraith is such cheapness on Evolve. It's tailored for the lazy and beginners, there can be no doubt made of that. It can create a dupe and slink away unseen if caught, and utilize Hyper Mega Rage Mode if it chooses to engage the Hunters. Goliath is 50/50; you either fight a good player who can beat you down, or a bad player who tries to fight all the time and gets worn down quickly.

On the other hand, Kraken is easy mode for the Hunters. It poses no real threat. The aqua ink bubbles are tiresome though.

While I don't like short games at all, I can't really blame the developers if that's the length of the story they wanted to tell. I'd rather a shorter, high quality game than a longer game that ends up being drawn out far where it should've ended. I've heard Alien: Isolation is like that, which is why I'm hesitant to buy it.

I bought Evolve for £40 then traded it in for £34 a few days later. Was a little fun at first, but I don't have many friends who play it and, considering communication is a necessity for the Hunters, I don't think I'd enjoy it that much. Communicating in pubs is troublesome.

Yeah yesterday was the first time I've had people actually speak on headsets.

Still won without it a good few times the spotting thing is a huge help but D Pad commands would be excellent "it's hiding!" "put the f***ing dome up!" "Split up!" etc etc

I thought Kraken was widely regarded as one of the best if not the best monster? I like Goliath best not lost as him once but for the few times I've played as Kraken I've lost once or twice, my first match as him was Defend which I suck at so naturally lost.

I find myself having much closer matches as Kraken. Close as in two more shots and I'd have been dead.

I hope the next Assault guy has a cloak that would be sooo deadly.
Always finding myself as Laz or Support being the one waiting for the dropship. Especially fun as Hank when the monster thinks it can attack the relay and gets wrecked with the Orbital Drop.

Man, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is such a great game.

Almost soiled myself doing the Frenzied Tigrex quest. Damn thing's troublesome by itself, but making it even more erratic? Had so much fun hunting it, though.

GTA V has been delayed again. For the PC, that is.

Hopefully the optimization will have been worth the wait.
I love building PCs. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask. I can help you with almost any kind of PC you'd want to build.

Deciding what game to play next is so difficult.

I must not forget that Resident Evil Revelations comes out tomorrow. I already pre ordered it on PSN but I hardly touch my PS4 any more.

I might trade my GTA V in, my mum is the only person who plays it, lol.

Managed to get the Cockroach trophy in Evolve by being a badass medic.
Never thought I'd get the trophy.

Basically you have to kill a monster while downed using the s***ty pistol you get which does like no damage.
So I'm not interested in getting the platinum as the only difficult trophy for me now is being in a party with 4 friends...I don't have that many who play the game

Shall also platinum The Order, seems like it'll almost be as easy as Terminator Salvation and NCIS.
Not even joking.

I hope Bloodborne isn't some short crappy game it better be as long as Dark Souls 2...but not just because it takes so long to get everywhere and you're never told what to do...

Anyone else getting Bloodborne next month?

I hope it's actually difficult, it sounds a lot easier than Dark Souls so far.

As long as it's still somewhat difficult seems like a decent buy. Better not be a quick and simple cash grab this and Evolve are to last me until Witcher 3 not much in between I want to buy.

Actually what is there between now and May that's decent? Not quite sure.

A surprise release of Phantom Pain would be swaggalicious
