Yondaime, did you see that you can use Fire Emblem Amiibos with Codename Steam? It unlocks the character so you can use them in battle.

I've wanted to get into Fallout for awhile, but I don't think I have the hardware to get any of the games.
How come? Shouldn't take too much to run it on a PC I wouldn't think, the 360 and PS3 could run them albeit buggy versions.

It's really daft and funny there's so much strange crap the find in the wasteland.

To be honest I think all the bugs and stuff are half the fun, severed heads flying around, enemies randomly flying up in to the air.

Quite a few times I've been so obviously screwed as a Deathclaw runs towards my level 4 character and then it shoots off in to the sky and dies when it lands...

Besides that though, it's an interesting world harsh and bleak but funny with it.
Plus you get a mini nuclear warhead launcher, what could go wrong? :p

I wouldn't mind another Elder Scrolls game if there was no Fallout announcement, so long as it was absolutely huge Skyrim felt...empty took me like 40 hours to do basically everything and I wasn't using a guide, until I realized there's just a handful of quests before I've 100%'d it.
Would prefer Fallout though, Witcher 3 should already provide that next gen fantasy fix.
Yeah I just thought most of the games were only for Xbox or PlayStation consoles. I have a PC that should be able to run most of them.

But where should I start?
go with 3, and then new vegas. new vegas is the most recent one, but the atmosphere in 3 was really good imo. NV has better features.

basically, FO3 has more breadth, but with a good enough plot and environment and a lot of s*** to explore, unlike skyrim where the MQ was meh and the gameplay was a bit more shallow and there weren't many interesting things going on, imo. I dont want to spoil it so i'll just give a brief overview, and i guess some people might not like it, but the intro to FO3 really helps to build that post-apocalyptic feel you get throughout the rest of the game and kind of makes it feel more personal. the atmosphere was set up perfectly -- that's how i feel, anyway. it also has random enemy encounters from what i remember; on the other hand, NV had set enemy spawn locations, so you knew what you were coming up against running up to a specific place.

I didn't really care about any character in NV -- I wasnt as invested as I was with FO3 -- but it had better features like being able to modify your weapons and it just had better guns in general, hardcore mode, faction reputation, iron sight (it was a bit annoying that FO3 didn't have such a simple feature, but there are mods that remedy this), more ways to complete quests than what was typical in FO3 of choosing a good side or an evil side, and also it's set in the West and I was able to feel like I was a post-apocalyptic gunslinger, lopl. also i think level scaling works better in NV because in FO3 it's so easy to basically be a demi-god and kill everything so easily, which is fun for a short while, but gets tiresome really fast. companions are also better, and I also like the fact the moral decisions you can make can get quite blurred -- it explores grey areas of morality, whereas I feel FO3 was black and white.

imo, FO3's atmosphere >> FO:NV's, but gameplay features edges over to NV. it's mostly just preference as with any game. the atmosphere of FO3 still makes it my favourite game ever so far. it's a shame because both games lack what the other has -- basically like two sides of the same damn coin -- so it'd be cool if they don't f***ing do that with FO4 if that ever comes out.
a final note: liam neeson is your f***ing dad in FO3. how f***ing badass is that??

actually now i dont know which one i like more... i've been thinking about it for the past hour and I can't decide, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
but srsly i would go with FO3 first just because the gameplay is better in NV and you might not want to go to something that's older if you go with NV first.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

^that is pretty much exactly how I feel about the two.

FO3 is fantastic then you play NV and it's just as good but in different ways...then you switch back to FO3 and while it's frustrating there being so little caps about and weapons the world is much more visually appealing and fun.

In NV though it's badass walking around with a cowboy hat and a trenchcoat with a repeater or whatever.

I hope in the next game they expand the crafting system so we can make weapon camo's and stuff.
Spent ages getting the parts for the gecko backed leather armour, thought it'd have cool colours but it's just plain...

I've actually never played hardcore mode still, don't want to 100% either game until another is out.

Speaking of post apocalyptic open worlds, totally forgot about Mad Max.
Wonders if it will be any good, I'm thinking not really.

Not sure why they're trying to revive that it's not like it's set in an especially interesting world.
A world where there's very little gas but they can have turbo powered cars and s***...

More interested in the older games. I'm playing through Sacred Stones at the moment and really enjoying it. I like how there are three upgrades for some characters. Reminds me of when Pokemon brought out Pichu and Cleffa and stuff. Plus this one doesn't have too many armour knights like the previous games had.

sacred stones is one of the more unique games in the FE series
having free roam, oh theres not three upgrades, well they're just options, like
a mercenary turns either into a hero or ranger, game has two routes erikas route or her brothers
so its good to play at least twice, monsters are in the game, a decent amount of post game material as well ect...
and the game design are very well done, so yeah have fun playing, it its real a good game

any plans, on playing path of radiance or radiant dawn?

I have both of the games and I didn't like them. Can't remember which one I disliked more. I remember being disappointed by the small size of the maps.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I love how ignorant people are about Early Access games.

Most of them get horrible scores and reviews on Steam which I think is ridiculous, the future of the game is severely damaged by people not having the ability to read that it's going to be broken and is all subject to change.

Or how they moan you have to pay for it when it's broken, like you're forced in to it even though every single one of the games outlines the fact that it's to help develop the game.
Which fair enough could be money grabbing BS but you still have the choice why do people buy it and then complain it's not finished?

I think people should have to answer a questionnaire before buying it being able to down vote a game over a tiny detail and make people not buy it is just silly.

Just reminded me that I need to keep more of an eye on that fan remake of Resident Evil 2. Still in the early alpha stage so I haven't bothered to try it but apparently it has potential to be decent.

Resident Evil 2 Reborn?
That looks awesome never heard of it before.

Not sure what one is my favourite but it's definitely either 2 or 4, 4 is a bit easy though especially on the Wii, headshots for days.

Although I helped my friend fight IT on the PS2 version because he couldn't defeat it, first try I beat it and that was my first time on the PS2 one so maybe it's easy all round

About to try H1Z1 looks a lot of fun. Apparently they haven't added EU servers yet though so not sure if I can play US ones or if it might just be slow.
Already has bears and stuff in it and vehicle, DayZ standalone only recently added vehicles...

But somehow people think Bohemia Interactive are the more competent company.
