So whenever I turn my head to the right it hurts the right side of my neck, however the left side is just fine. Anyone know how to fix this?

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

Usually a heating pad does the job, or eating bananas (potassium relaxes muscles). However, I had a similar issue also with the right side of my neck that was fixed by a physical therapist. I pulled a muscle in it in highschool, and it had been stiff for years.

The therapist had me lay down on my back on a table and lift my head slightly off the table. She then twisted my head the left slightly and pushed it down into my chest, which curled my chin into my chest toward the left (the chin touches the soft spot between your chest and shoulder). She held my head like that for three minutes and then had me relax. This causes the muscles that are tensed to relax.

Needless to say, it worked. It still gets stiff every once in a while, but it doesn't hurt or bother me even nearly as often as it did.
