What is the real difference between f*** and F*ck. What's the point? Does it really make a difference?

Edit: The word got censored, but pretend its spelled out.

People can find it offensive, that's probably why but i don't see the point in censoring words as everyone knows what it says anyway.

It's just really ugly to straight up see the word f*uck written everywhere. I guess that's kinda like when you say crap instead of sh*t when people know, just by the situation, that you really meant sh*t.

You can't just say the actual word while throwing your own censor noise in there, at least I don't think you can all of the time. But I think it's just to justify it as much as you can, when really, you're still saying or typing the curse word and meaning the feeling you are trying to get across.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I only see the point when it's something children may be involved in like this forum or cartoons, shouldn't be advocated that they learn so many vulgar words.

But I find it annoying when TV shows aimed at adults are censored, it takes away some of the realism if it's say, a crime series.
Murder and gore everywhere, yet nobody dare say f*** or any other swear when really they would, if you found a corpse or seen a murder you wouldn't exclaim "Gosh dang-diddly-arn it!"

I don't think it's that important a thing to be censored, compared to nudity for example, kids are going to hear swears eventually anyway but I see the value to not having every show filled with them or to waiting until 6pm before they come up.

Guess that could be my background though I'm from Scotland so if there's a more mature TV show based anywhere here and nobody swears...that's just...that just doesn't compute really.

Yes! I hate when they censor adult shows like that... If its a crime series they are going to say bad words when they see a dead body.

Also, I don't think there are little kids here. I feel like I am one of the youngest at 17. And anyway, kids at 11 and 12 already know every bad word as my little cousins at that age enjoy saying things to me.

I think most kids starts using curse words at like 11 or 12 anyway , even if its censored everyone still know what it says.

The forum is rated at PG 13 so, we can't say any bad words. They could hurt peoples feelings.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I'm not dissing the forum here but no swears at PG-13 is kind of lame(overall)

At least these days considering the internet community, with all the 10 year olds swearing on CoD or challenging you to "IRL fites" over the internet.

If this is what censoring was supposed to stop it's obviously failed, if you don't want your kids to swear don't let them watch things with swears in it.
The only solution really, would be to censor real life so your kids don't hear swears their friends say.
Which is not that practical or possible really.

The reality is you learn swears and bad behaviour from the influence of your friends not TV, so it's dumb to limit things that are for adults.

Not that we should be allowed to say whatever we want here or elsewhere, some etiquette should be applied to the lack of censors on words of course.

I'm not talking about the forum, I am just talking in general everywhere. Because the difference between putting that little star instead of "U" doesn't really change anything. You are still typing the cuss word anyway.

I've wondered the same thing myself. The same thing for the forum applies to everywhere though. People get all butt hurt over the fact that you said a "bad word" and have to b*** about it. Some people are just too sensitive.

It's like once I stubbed my toe and I cursed out loud and this lady freaked out at me. Why do you care? I didn't insult you, move along.
