Does this happen to anybody else?

From time to time the outlines on my Cell tattoo begin to swell and itch real bad.
Does anybody else have this same problem with their tattoos or at least know what's causing it?

Actually, yes ... not to the same degree as you've described, admittedly, it's more like slight itching and the lines are a little raised. I always put it down more to the location being more sensitive than my last one, which I haven't experienced the same issue with at all.

Annnnd your topic actually got me curious, so I pretty much googled this question, and it doesn't seem to be a cause for too much concern, which is good to know. There's some answers here:

http://tat2guru.com/tattoo-faq-why-do-my-healed-tattoos-sometimes-itch-and-swell/

I had a quick read and it seems pretty informative; I'll admit, the first few times it happened, I started to worry a little bit that my body was trying to reject the ink or something. Like the article says, though, I think broken and inflamed skin is the only real time to worry. =)

And come to think of it, the 'hormonal change' thing certainly seems to be accurate for mine ... but I won't go into that. Definitely know how annoying the itching can be, though!

I hope that helped some!
Oh, look. Another personal blog about writing. Whatever.

Hey thanks!
More then likely it's the weather or my new headache medication.

I give you credit for finding that article. I'm too lazy to search the internet for things like that.

That's odd. I've never had problems with mine, or heard people I know with this problem either.
