Who knows what I'd do to protect someone. In the past I've fought guys armed with knives to protect my friends, and I've gone after thugs in bad neighborhoods to protect my family. When the adrenaline is pumping I don't much care what happens to me as long as the person(s) I'm protecting will be alright. But being that I'm currently training to be a firefighter, I suppose I'd be willing to give my life. ~~I didn't buy a shotgun to use it on myself, I can tell you that much.~~ Edited by Pyrus, Aug 13 2013, 08:13 AM.

In the past my first response to people fighting (with or without knives) was to haul my durable a*** right in between them. I don't see a huge difference if it's a gun.

But don't guns usually have more than one bullet in them? So what's the point of jumping in front of the gun when they can just unload more rounds after you've been dropped?

It happened in a car park the other day, actually ... should probably work on that. I've put my own well being last for the sake of my friends on multiple occasions, because I'm terrified of losing them, I guess. I don't know. Maybe I'm just a masochist.

That's about it worth just dying for. But I think I'd take a bullet for a lot of important people in my life, depending on where I take the bullet and how much damage it leaves me - as well as depending on a certain individual. My best friends i'd probably do that too. I've had a bad history with trying to defend my sister from bullies (I was in third grade and about 7-8 8th-9th graders were picking on my sister and her boyfriend wasn't doing anything. So I found the nearest pair of shorts or pants and starting walking my butt up to there. (luckily the biggest guy stopped the good majority from getting to me, I probably would've been messed up big time).

Christianity Favourite Manga The Bible	difficult question to answer because of what toji and tim mentioned. i've protected friends and random little kids who are pretty much strangers from bullies before and gotten into a lot of fights that way, but when it comes to a life being endangered it's hard to judge. i'd like to say i'd at least give my life up for people i care about, but you just dont know these things unless you're forced into those situations and have nothing else to rely on but your own instinct and character.

Where are you that people are throwing grenades at your loved ones? Just hit it away... Anyway probably wouldn't take a bullet for anyone unless I had a girlfriend/wife or a child. Other people dying just doesn't bother me in the slightest. If they died they simply weren't strong enough to overcome what happened to them, and it's not my fault so why care it just wastes your life being sad when whoever it is that died, if you mattered to them, wouldn't want that. I'd just try kill whoever was doing the shooting, lest they turn to me afterwards. I would like to see how it feels to be shot though, if somewhere generally survivable anyway, just to know how bad it is. Missing parts of your insides must feel strange.
