I would love it if she did. Not sure what age I would want them to be. Or maybe it could be the children of Harry and co.

Nah I'd rather she didn't. The story came to it's natural, if rather predictable, conclusion. Anything else would be pretty forced after this. There'd have to be some new enemy to create the needed conflict, but where do you go after Voldermort who was so intertwined with Harry's life and such a big threat to the entire wizarding world? Plus she clearly has other things she wants to write about now, it's not going to turn out well if her heart isn't really in it.

At best I suppose she could do a prequel novel, but you always have to wonder how effective that could be when we already know pretty much everything that happens already.

I sure hope not. The ending was perfect and everything. If she did, I'd rather she just answer questions about what they do in their daily lives.

If she did end up writing a new series, I would like it to be about Harry's kids and less about him.

"I am the bone of my sword."

I can see it now....

"Seven years have passed since the evil wizard Voldemort was defeated by Son Potter. Having time to grow up and lead a more normal wizarding life, he has neglected his magical training and grown weaker. At this time the great Budokai Magikaichi is now being held, where the strongest of wizards and witches now go to compete against each other.

But evil is brewing when a twisted muggle plans to release a horrible creature and make terror on the wizarding world! Oh no! Draco has given into his evil heart and allowed the evil creature to be released! Can Hugo and James learn the fusion dance in time? Will Rose's hidden potential be released? It's the final showdown, an extra large expelliarmus!

If Potter can't do it who will!?"

...
...

In short it would be stupid and unnecessary.

Harry potter needs to be put to rest. The series had pretty subpar writing for the fame it got and I don't want to see it get any more.

She could write about the past. Voldemort's rise to power and Harry's parents at Hogwarts.

The ending was perfect so i wouldn't want to see anything new. If she writes about Voldemort's rise to power then its not really "Harry Potter" anymore though.

That would be quite interesting, but its not continuing Harry Potter like asked in the question.
I would much rather see that then see Harry Potter's children go to Hogwarts though.

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

I'd rather she didn't either.
It's not "Harry Potter" if the main characters switch to his three kids. Also Voldemort was defeated, so there's really no story if there's no real villain.

I think a book or 2 without a main villain would be fine. The Harry Potter world is so full of amazing ideas that could keep you interested. My favourite parts were when they were in classes or doing stuff at Hogwarts. Not all the omg you're going to die stuff with Voldermort.

If it gets people away from Twilight, I say go for it. The books were good and the movies started just fine, though they turned to mush later on.

I'd read a book about the wizarding world and its lore, but I think the story of Harry and his pals ended on a good note and anything extra would seem like a cash grab and probably wouldn't be very good.
