For me it's the beam struggle between Gohan and Cell. Just the part where Piccolo is talking about how Gohan was the first person to show him what it means to have a friend. Also just the fact the tien states the Piccolo is trying to help Gohan even though he knows that it won't work he will try to anyway. Just thinking about that shows the bond between Gohan and Piccolo that builds throughout the series.

The only scene in the entire series that actually made me tear up was when Goku goes ape **** on Black after he kills No. 8 in "Path to Power" the music and emotion in the scene was just epic.

Most of the major fights in the anime made me cry.

They just took so damn long.

It didn't bring me to crying but the most emotional parts in my opinion were Android #16 dying and Majin Vegeta sacrificing himself.

Majin Vegeta sacrificing himself. Perfectly executed in which the narrator gives a speech about the proud Saiyan Prince.

Nah. DBZ's purpose is to make you NOT cry. Well, the manga at least.
But when I was like 10 and watched History of Trunks when Gohan died I was so touched that I wanted to cry and forcefully shed a tear or two.

I have never cried at any scene, but there were a lot of emotional parts such as: Majin Vegeta sacrificing himself, Goku going SSJ, Goten meeting and saying goodbye to Goku, Goku sacrificing himself at Cell games, and Vegeta attacking Cell after he killed Trunks.

I cry a little every time I hear "step into the grand tour" ... if that counts.

I'm probably not alone when I say Majin Vegeta's sacrifice. I re-watched that episode recently, and got choked up again ... like, 9? 10 years later? Still gets me.
Oh, look. Another personal blog about writing. Whatever.

No, DBZ has never brought me even close to tears, I don't think it's that type of show.

I do get a tad emotional with some moments though

-Piccolo dying to save Gohan
-Vegeta getting killed by Freeza
-Goku's sacrifice to save the world from Cell and Gohan's reaction
-Vegeta's sacrifice in an attempt to destroy Buu
-Goten and Goku hugging goodbye

- Vegeta dying from Cell, his Majin Explosion stuff

That's all when I was a kid.

Oh, and when GT ended and Goku said "'Till we meet again!"
