It's Vegeto.
We see many people call him Vegito.
How did this name begin and then became popular?

It was because of Funimation's BS back in the days. Even VIZ at least correctly tried to deduce "Vegerot" out of Vegeta and Kakarot.

It seems they like adding i's tot heir character names. Vegito...Frieza...etc

Leve Feyenoord 1!

It's Funi's name I think, anyway I'm playing RB2 right now and Vegetto is indeed called 'Vegito' over here. Also Frieza, Neizu, and other stupid names like that, I also think they call Bra 'Bulla' for some reason. I also use anime names mostly but sometimes they're just too weird so I stick to manga names, examples: Freeza, Vegetto, Bra, etc.

As for 'Vegerot' I can see logic in that one, isn't there even an anime quote: "Vegeta and Kakarot together, guess that makes me Vegito." How does 'Vegeta' and 'Kakarot' make Vegito? 'Vegerot' would be a more logical name to me, heck even Kakareta would make more sense if you use that quote, at least change the quote to: "Vegeta and Goku together, guess that makes me 'Vegito."

I also think they changed it because you can't pronounce Vegito wrong, Vegetto however is a lot of times pronounced as: [vəd͡ʒætoʊ]

Vegerot imo sounds stupid. Vegetto sounds a lot better.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I like Vegito best, it fits better phonetically.

Or is Vegetto supposed to be said different? Like Veg-ghetto? Because that sounds stupid to me.
Doesn't look like it has the e sound from Vegeta.

Either way there's almost no Goku in that name lol just realised that's kind of dumb.

The anime team must have sat around ages happy with that and then suddenly GOGETA, god dammit why didn't we think of that!?

When I was a kid I tried to convince myself that they took the "o" from "Goku" for whatever reason and replaced it with the "a" in "Vegeta," but the "i" was the one part that killed my brain.

But yeh Funimation decided against changing the name (Vegerot does sound dumb, yes), but they were cool with changing the spelling.

Bejīta + Kakarotto

Wouldn't Bejītto be more accurate?

Personally, I have grown up with "Vegeta"... so I always try to use "Vegetto"

"Vegito" and "Frieza" piss me off. They're abominations, and it annoys me when good debaters use those soiled spellings.

But that's just me.

I prefer to refer to him as Vegetto to be honest, it just looks more solid IMO. And easier to type
