Cell's Motive?

What was Cell's ultimate goal? For Frieza it was being a tyrant; pushing people around, flexing his muscle, and ruling over the universe while enjoying wealth and power. For buu it was destruction of the entire universe because he had no rational thoughts. But Cell is kind of a question mark. If he were to defeat the Z fighters and went on a spree of destroying galaxies eventually he would run out of things to blow up. So whats his ultimate goal? He had some of Frieza's cells so one could argue that his motives be similar to that of Frieza, but he also had Goku's and some of the Z fighters cells.

Cell's original goal after reaching perfection was merely to have fun and test his abilities out. He'd probably have been content just having some good fights while putting the human population to the end. Once Cell got bored, he'd find the next place and next challenge.

Once he returns after his self-destruction, he loses his **** and decides everything is not as awesome as he is and thus has to die now.

But I doubt he'd find many fighters in the universe anywhere close to the level of the Saiyans on earth.

His ultimate goal was to become complete/"perfect".

I'd imagine if he had won the Cell Games, he'd have little to do and would probably go into a deep depression. Although over time he may discover other activities to enjoy; such as painting or golf.

Leve Feyenoord 1!

At first (obviously) he wanted to reach his perfect form, after that he just wanted to see the limits of his power, after that it's pretty unclear to me, a lot of people claim Cell wanted to destroy the earth and the rest of the universe but Cell never really wanted to do that, he wanted to be as powerful as possible.

I'm just curious. Say he beats all the Z fighters and destroys earth. Does he just go settle down on some planet and start a family? lol his main goal was to become perfect and destroy earth, but where does he go from there?

First Cell's goal was to obtain perfection, obviously.
After that it's unclear, but something along the lines of being the most powerful and testing his power with fights. He enjoyed fighting a whole lot at least.

I wanna add though, there's a difference between enemies like Freeza, King Piccolo, Vegeta & Nappa and enemies like Cell, the androids, Buu. The formers were all borned naturally as far as we know, had a history of their own and grew like any normal being. The latters were created by weaker being with especific purposes, and I think it makes sense that once they defy and destroy their creators they don't have a clear purpose in life other than destuction and fighting because that's what they were all created for.

Well like everyone else said, his ultimate goal was to absorb 17 and 18 and become perfect. After that, he just wanted to enjoy a long period of battles. I don't think destroying planets falls in the category of goals, he clearly tells Goku he didn't care about the Earth and if he had to blow it up, he'll do it. It so happens that he got tired of Gohan and Earth and most likely knew it would take a blast that big to destroy Gohan, so he had no choice but to produce a power capable of destroying planets. It's unclear what he would've done afterwards, but my guess is probably traveling to other planets, looking for strong opponents and challenging them. If he wins, he blows the planet up since there's no use for it anymore.

Honestly, a character like Cell sucks in my opinion..

Cell didn't have a motive, his only goal was to obtain perfect form. The Cell games were just a first attempt at occupying his time afterwards. I think if he had beaten Gohan he would have realized pretty fast that going around destroying planets would get boring. Maybe he would find a planet and populate it with Cell Jrs to start his own race.

Cell's fall from grace was tragic, like something from prose.

If he had won...I wonder if he would time travel again or perhaps do what frieza did and become a galactic tyrant. Another option would be to travel to the next dimension - assuming his IT allowed him.

Seems out of character, IMO. With Saiyan DNA, it seems more likely that he would just travel from planet to planet looking for challenges and terrorizing people. It would've been interesting seeing him start a race of Cell jrs though lol
