It's something a woman should do, like pluck their eyebrows or shave their legs or paint their nails or be motherly to their child.

If I was with a guy (best joke ever), and I wanted him to shave (not trim, shave), would he still be manly?

Society's standards are also culturally constructed, and it just so happens many of us hot-blooded males find hairy women unattractive.

No woman should be obligated to shave, but some women may do it to please their partner if they would like.
