Kind of self explanatory.

Why/why not?

No, because people are not obligated to do anything for the sake of society.

No, because people are not obligated to do anything for the sake of society.
This basically ends the thread. Many probably feel pressured to do it as a societal norm but it's not an obligation.

Perhaps not, but it sure is pleasant and preferable.

Some people think it's "a woman thing." I certainly don't believe that, but that's what I'm going to argue as. Ready?

It's something a woman should do, like pluck their eyebrows or shave their legs or paint their nails or be motherly to their child.

Part of why I'm attracted to women is because they're not hairy like men.

People can do what they want in my opinion. I just consider the following:

- Razors are ridiculously expensive where I come from, and could count as an ongoing expense (same with gel)
- There's not that much of a point to it anyways. Some people just draw a line in the sand for no reason.

It's up to the woman really.

Woman are naturally hairy. Like really hairy. When we shave, there's a lot to shave.

@Buu, mind elaborating on why you think that they should?

Same reason as what KP posted.

And then I said women are naturally hairy. You wanting them to change their nature, does that really make them womenly in the end..? If I was with a guy (best joke ever), and I wanted him to shave (not trim, shave), would he still be manly?

I don't see why it being natural is an argument. Society's standards are also culturally constructed, and it just so happens many of us hot-blooded males find hairy women unattractive.

We don't all live in those kinds of societies. Some civilizations forbid women to shave anything for the sole reason that it obstructs them from their natural beauty

Just because some men find it unattractive doesn't mean that all women should be obligated to shave. No woman should be obligated to shave, but some women may do it to please their partner if they would like.
