For this topic, I just wanted for you, to talk about the Best Summer(s) (Holidays) of your Life. For me, it was probably the Summer of 2006 or 2007, they are the ones, I can also remember the most fondly. I remember having the best time of my life in those summers. The days were, great & remember that those days/summers were really the first , of my life (& probably the only  ), where I really started befriending people (neighbours & school friends) & having/making my own friends, instead of running, behind my sisters & their friends (or just plain sitting in my house & watching TV)  , sort of like coming out of your/my shell, I think, they call it. I remember, the days really being great & having tons of fun with my friends. The great temperature & long days were also a great & awesome part of the summer (as they made it all the more fun) as for the most part, the days were really hot & long. We (Me & my friends) would also do a lot of forbidden stuff such as going/lurking to the adult video store (Erotic ), near to my place & annoying the staff working over there & many other stores . I can still remember vividly playing football with my friends, until really late & also sometimes talking with them just in general about a lot of stuff, such as school or whatever else was bothering me at that point (at the end of the day before I usually went home, as we were busy spending the rest of our days, just having fun & doing a lot of mischievous/forbidden stuff). One thing that stands out though, at least for me is that, I rarely ever was home & most of the time just spend my time outside with my friends, not knowing what was happening in my own house . This was really the time, where I started getting confidence & started to make lots of friends. This was also the time, when I first started (constantly) watching WWE, so I knew how to spend my Saturday Nights, other than watching disney movies/series, which was also great & made my Saturday Nights, awesome  . Another point that made it so great was that even though I did not have internet connection (usually got the newest & hottest information, mostly regarding anime, from magazines), back then, I still probably had the greatest & best time of my life & compared to now where I do have internet connection (ever since 2009), my life feels quite empty & s***ty compred to then. But as great as the time was, this was also the time, when my school-grades started declining & didn't really care about school anymore & a lot of times when ever, I went home, I just hoped that there was not another call/letter from school, complaining about me & my parents shouting at me. That made me all the more happy, when the Summer Holidays were approaching & I could just spend time with my friends. The Summer(s) of 2006 & 2007 are probably, what I also have the most nostalgia to these days, since these were just great time. By the way all of this happened in Germany, that is also what makes it probably the best summer of my life.So know, I'd like you guys to talk about your favourite/best summer(s) (Holidays).

Last year when my brother got married and my friends from up north came down for it. They stayed for three days before going home so I got to show them around my city. It was super hot too. We walked around the barbican, messed around on a golf course and played in my local park. I had such a great time. I can't remember the last time that I enjoyed myself so much. This summer was a close second because myself and the same friends stayed in this big house with an outdoor pool and it was even hotter than last year. These seem to be some of the best years of my life. |

Wow, I could never imagine myself enjoying any of the summers, these days, as I really just don't have any friends close to my house & most of my friend are in Germany, anyways. The Days (temperature) aren't really helping either as they just want to make me go back to Germany & see my friends again. The place, where I live now, is not really good, for playing or hanging out with friends either as I sort of live in what I guess, you could call a small town with lots of small stores. But, I guess that's what makes this interesting. Can you elaborate, on what makes the summer of 2005, so good, really interested Edited by StrawHatCrew, Aug 7 2013, 08:42 PM.

Yeah, summer of 2008, after I finished year 11 - just because that summer goes on forever, and for some reason, I think me and my friends ... did more stuff than we usually do. It's hard to remember, but I remember being at the beach some, and some house parties? 2010, I was in Spain for some of the summer, and that was an amazing experience in itself. I didn't really go out much that year (because I was never drunk, so that's how I know), but Spain was well worth it. 2011 because I got to spend so much time with my family - worth it because last year, I was working all summer, and things were really bad in general for my family around that time as well, so had I not been working, the summer would have been terrible. What I do remember about summer last year was lots of road trips with my dad. But 2011 ... yeah, we spent a lot of time together as a family, and my brother and sister were still young enough to appreciate it somewhat. This year could be pretty memorable as well, if things continue on the way they have been. Going out a lot (it's a huge confidence boost), hopefully passing my driving test ... yeah ... |

I'd have to say... this one. Why? Well... This year was terrible, let me tell ya. Guy problems (dangit guys, LEAVE ME ALONE), gossip, bullying... but when summer came I finally got a break. I was depressed during school, especially during art class. I'd feel heartbroken because of what the teacher expressed at my works. Then summer.. I finally got some focus. I could finally enjoy myself, I could finally do what I desired to do. Draw. I got to see old friends (I go to a different school now) and I learned to ride a bike. I could bike to mah bros house, and we'd bike to the beach together and just talk and have fun :3 And to the art... well, if you're curious... just.. look: Spoiler: click to toggle Oh, and this is the year I tried out Legend of Zelda. I'm not quite sure. I was 16 and had just finished school. The world just seemed 98293872174123x bigger and I could do whatever the hell I wanted. I guess I do that now, except I'm 8 years older and I'm expected to have responsibilities and be mature. The mature thing hasn't happened yet -- I'll give that another 30 years or something. |
