Im pretty sure the aliens would use that to their advantage as well.It would be nasty for us. I'd go with a zombie apocalypse because I like knowing that I can atleast stand a chance against zombies rather than some extremely advanced alien race who just love some good ol' war.

Life for the survivors would be harsh, but we'd at least know what to expect and improvise effectively. With an alien invasion, we'd have no idea what they were capable of. They'd be much more technologically advanced than us and we'd have little to no chance of survival.

If the Alien are like the ones from Halo, I might say Aliens...but if all human's don't work together then we're screwed. Otherwise, I'll go with zombies.

The aliens would be much more technologically advanced and it would be very hard to beat them. I would choose Alien Invasion because overcoming a zombie apocalypse would be so hard to do. Firstly, there are millions of zombies. No chance you are able to kill them all and finding a vaccine and then vaccinating them would be impossible. (I do think its impossible to find a cure for being a zombie) Also, if you watch the show Walking Dead, everyone is already infected, so no one would be safe ever, (Unless vaccinated, but still its pretty much impossible) With an alien invasion, you beat them and they are gone forever unlike the zombies. Also, it might seem easy to kill all the zombies, but isn't. It would probably be easier to kill all the aliens. Maybe I watch TV too much... Would rather have zombie apocalypse for the reason you stated in your first paragraph: we'd be outmatched if they have the technology to get to us. As for the part I've highlighted: zombies don't exist at all -- there are so many different types portrayed in the media that you can't really just say that a real zombie will have traits X, Y and Z, and that curing them would be impossible. But anyway I'll throw out my own assumptions, as well. With whatever little knowledge I have of biology, I'd imagine that any possible zombie outbreaks in real life would be more like what's shown in the film 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later wherein the source of the outbreak is a virus. It'd have to be something that doesn't affect the limbic system, particularly the hypothalamus which is linked to hunger, thirst, some emotions, but affects parts of the brain involved with higher levels of thinking and consciousness: temporal lobe to affect memories, or the frontal lobe so that it severely impairs reasoning. Maybe other parts but then it would overlap with s* like visual and auditory perception, and motor functioning. Actually if you take all of that into account, we'd still be left with pretty intelligent zombies depending on what parts of the brain are affected. For example, if all of the limbic system remains, parts involved with memory and learning would still be there which could lead to zombies doing s* you don't really see in films/books like using door handles or looking for another entrance instead of mindlessly bashing a door or window. so ye id go w/ zombies. findin a cure for what's most likely to be some sort of virus seems more doable than fighting an alien race that could have some planet-busting machine or some s*** lopl. sry for nerding out but it got me thinkin lopl iirc the first zombie movie was actually this. the zombies were intelligent enough to use weapons and open doors. they were also correctly called ghouls, not zombies. i'd go with zombie apocalypse, myself. as has been said, any alien civilization advanced enough to come here is probably advanced enough to wipe us out effortlessly. unless they are a race around our own technological level who fled their home planet to survive a catastrophe (something we actually could do with today's technology, if we had enough time to prepare). but that is a very remote possibility for invasion compared to the more likely type 1 civilization that would just wipe us out in a few days at most. for reference,a type 1 civilization is one that controls planetary forces. they can move large asteroids around, they can manipulate the weather, and other feats that are way beyond us now. although some scientists rank us as high as type "0.7" (we don't control the planet, but we do have extensive control on a regional level) we are simply no match for a type one civilization that has developed military technology on par with their general tech level. a type 2 civilization (controls stars) is simply an insult, like dropping a nuke on a beehive.

They'd destroy us with laser beams and s***. I think they'd have no problem destroying our planet. Even we know how to destroy cities. Zombies are weak. A headshot with a low 22 cal is enough to take them down. Even if there was millions of them, I'd just fly to a inhabitant-less island, and stay there until the virus dies.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	Aliens wouldn't necessarily have any firepower, they might not be like us humans and fight amongst themselves so all their technological efforts could be devoted to space travel and medical science. It's possible Earth diseases could destroy them or things like Anthrax, but equally possible that they'd be immune to pretty much everything but physical trauma. But unless they were really strong they probably would have robots which would suck for us. But then if they had no weapons we have nukes. Imagine they had the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise... Zombies all the way, if you wore a leather suit like what bikers wear you'd be safe from being bitten for sure, or a boiler suit(not sure what they're actually called) Realistically, rotting teeth on a corpse wouldn't be able to chew through all kinds of clothes like they do in movies, even if the teeth were strong the gums wouldn't be.

It'd be enough if they'd manage to just dug their teeth in a little bit, so that the virus can be transmitted. Maybe even their saliva would be enough to infect you. (since it might not be how it is in movies) Yeah, I'd just wear two leather jackets or something like that. I go for Zombie Apocalypse.
