Irrelevant

I've been in the hospital before for a non-stop migraine. They gave me a shot of something, I don't know what it was, but it got rid of the pain and in a matter of minutes it made me dizzy.I had felt like I hadn't slept in two days, I hated that feeling and I never want to go through that again. If that's what being baked is like I don't understand why people like it.

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

Yes and off of dozens of different substances as I have explained in another topic. By removing the egotistical societal filtration of drugs vs. the reality of them, ethanol (alcohol) is one of the worst. We just dress it up real pretty and put it on an altar.

I'm not super insightful for playing Mr. Experimenter nor do I carry an air of bravado or enlightenment because of it. But I am also not ashamed of myself and regret nothing. I took a very scientific and open approach to this kind of thing because I was raised in an environment largely free of propaganda and allowed to explore religion and culture freely with little to no influence from my family and largely from my friends until only as recent as the last few years.

Some drugs like MDMA, LSD, psilocybin and cannabis I believe have serious medicinal potential if used correctly. Deaths associated to these four are usually misrepresented or just don't happen at all. Your personal definition of damage is key. But I believe people should be able to do whatever with their own body that they please.

Nobody dies from MDMA (unless they purposely take an insane amount for suicidal reasons), for instance, they die from water poisoning or dehydration caused by the partying one tends to do in an environment MDMA is often consumed in. This substance also is frequently subject to impurities and toxins that can kill you. If death is a measurement of "damage" to you somehow, then, you would logically do all of these things listed above well before alcohol which has killed more than these four even remotely could and has killed several just in the duration it took to read this sentence.

Intelligence and research is necessary to properly assess the true "damage" a drug can cause. And your definition of damage is different from another person's. For instance, if I was in a controlled study and administered diacetylmorphine (heroin, never done it, just an example) one time vs. LSD one time, I might get a hangover from the heroin but otherwise be fine and mentally move on perfectly alright. LSD can change your entire perspective on life by modifying how you perceive the world.

Basically, anything that stimulates or depresses the central nervous system, like alcohol, benzos and opiates ("downers") and cocaine, amphetamine, caffeine ("uppers") can kill you by overdose. As hallucinogens do not affect the central nervous system, they physically cannot kill you. However, the psychological trauma can be much more significant and unrecoverable from.

See, your ego is the only thing that gives you an advantage over animals without consciousness. But it is important to know that it is your ego that influences all human behavior and pattern. You might not physically be hurting yourself with any hallucinogen, but, mentally, you can potentially at least temporarily destroy yourself. It's not an experience you "just do". That kind of mentality, just drug seeking for recreational purposes, is dangerous with hallucinogens.

While you cannot die you are inadvertently not giving yourself the full scope and range of effects that a hallucinogen may have. Just because it can't kill you doesn't mean it won't damage your ego and perhaps change you in such a way that you wish it never had. It isn't just a buzz or a way to "get f***ed up" and I shake my head at uneducated drug seekers who blindly give other egos a negative and oftentimes false misrepresentation of something.

However, these kinds of things are super impactful on the ego. Our precious ego. Our only lens into life that gives us scope beyond "the other animals". It can be completely shattered, scattered, rebuilt or tattered. Some people for the worse, others for the better. I've met many abusers of different drugs, and alcohol, street methamphetamine and heroin are really the top three worst in my opinion. And any derivatives of them. But they don't radically shift your reality like hallucinogens can, which can be horribly traumatic. Sometimes that alone is far worse than death by overdose.

It is also important to note that many drugs are impure for many reasons. Profit, mostly. It is an unregulated market. During prohibition in the United States, the lack of competition due to the underground and hidden nature of the ethanol market would often result in people getting a "poor product" or not the best product. Without competition, the cream wouldn't rise to the top and thus illegality removes the number one element to getting the best drug. If everything was open and regulated, it would be different. I'm not advocating that necessarily but it does unintentionally remove legitimacy. I mean, think about it, what drug dealer would advertise his product as impure? Walter White's meth is a lot better for you than bathtub trailer meth.

Neci is bang on with the MDMA, this is one of the drugs I have done, and you wont die unless you are dehydrated or if you drink too much, if you drink like one glass of water every hour or so you will be fine. that drug made my left eye twitch for like 3 days tho so don't snort it.

EDIT : just don't do drugs I guess

Neci is rock solid on that info. Psychology is one of the biggest factors in drugs. If you go in thinking bad things about the drug you're doing, then you'll get bad results. If you go in thinking neutrally, your results will be better. My advice for people doing drugs or smoking weed is to not think about the bad stuff you've heard about it. That's one of the worst things you could do. Just relax and be calm and you'll get the best results from the drug and your experience will be much better.

As far as harder drugs, I've done LSD, acid tabs (basically the same things), and I can't think of any of the other ones at the moment..

I'm afraid I have no idea what this 'train wreck' is, although it does sound like a highly unpleasant experience.
