Does Buu's huge reservoirs of stamina and hax regen also factor into this fight?

Going purely on combat ability, Cell should be the victor. Watching the Buu saga, every incarnation of Buu should've been killed many times over. The regeneration and his body makes Buu careless and apathetic to how dangerous techniques and general physical pain can be. His unpredictable and locomotive fighting style wouldn't work so well I argue if power levels and physical characteristics of were neutral for both parties.
But way before then most of the Z fighters were killed before Buu had any fatal damage, like Cell had also had.


Fat Buu - Could have killed Gohan had it not been for Kaioshin, could have killed Majin Vegeta had it not been for Trunks

Those are just to of the most skillful fighters in the universe, and they would have fail much earlier had not a supporter was there.

 ^ Buu would've been killed by Vegeta when he blew a hole through him. Had it not been for Buu's regeneration. Take away Buu's body composition as well and he would've suffered a lot of physical damage from Vegeta's melee. All of this before Buu got angry and attacked Vegeta back.

None of the Z fighters at the time had the PL, body composition, regen or stamina that Buu had. Buu was blown to shreds by Vegeta and vaporized by Gotenks and he still came back alive. Buu has an unfair advantage over every Z-fighter because of his physical attributes.


The Saiyans, Ginyu Force, Frieza, Androids, and Cell could all be killed in some practical way. It was merely a matter of the antagonist being stronger than the protagonists. Buu is a haxed villain who survives many times over when any other antagonist or protagonists would've died.

Oh so you're saying that if that was Cell in Buu's shoes he'd die? Yea right the guy torso was blown away yet he was still alive as well and would have died if not for the Namekian regeneration.

And Cell doesn't? The guy get freaking Zenkai's for cryinh out loud. He's hax just as much as Buu, being able to go anywhere in space, getting stronger after recovering from near death, and being able to regenerate. Given time he could have possibly been a bigger monster than Buu, though Buu could just absorb him, so saying Buu physical attributes is unfair take another look at Cell's first.

 Cells' regeneration requires energy much like Piccolo and has a limit. Likewise unlike Boo and his near limitless stamina, Cell has a limit to his energy and thus a limit to his regeneration. A good strong opponent could theoretically beat Cell to death without actually destroying him completely.

Cell also got one Zenkai because of sheer luck. He had blown himself up with the full intention of dying and it was a sheer miracle that the one part of his body that helps with regeneration happened to survive.

Cell's physical structure with perhaps an added bonus for endurance, is no different than say Piccolo's physical structure. It's not even comparable to Boo's own.

 @ Brofist I'm well aware of that Cell's regeneration costs ki, but the thing about that is when SSJ2 Gohan countered Cell's earth shattering Kamehameha, Cell was obviously injured but after he recovered his PL didn't drop to a level where all the Z-fighters top tier fighters could handle him. And as you said someone with the power that SSJ2 Teen Gohan had or higher could beaten Cell to "death" 100x over with no effort. But his said "death" state is all Cell needd to at least up his power to the same lvl his adversary is.

Actually I wasn't saying Cell's body wasn't different but its design is not similar to that of an Namekian's body. The only thing I say they (Cell and Buu) have in common is that of the the "will" to spectacularly survive from fatal and deadly wounds (though Cell's may be because of Frieza's cell) but even so it allows him to keep going regardless on his body, similar to Buu's own, to a lesser extent.

 Zenkai's only work when you're at near death and then you heal. So if Cell's getting beaten to near death, but his health doesn't return back to what it was, he's not going to get a Zenkai.
