He was at the time, though that doesn't really contradict what Toriyama said.
Joking or not, we have a statement from the author on where Mark's power would be, or would be about. |

Is that a problem for you? And it isn't as if Toriyama was saying Sapp > Satan at all times. Everybody has their prime and then dips from there, just like we saw with Satan himself. Sapp (prime, probably when he was big in Japan) > Satan (prime) > Sapp (post-stardom) That could work just as well as anything. If you still won't accept what Toriyama said as a serious comparison, then the manga would suffice nonetheless. Edited by Pyrus, Jul 21 2013, 07:46 PM.

Bob Sapp could be one of the strongest fighters in terms of raw muscle power but not the best at fighting technique. |

Going by raw strenght there are much stronger peoples than Bob Sapp. He was only big, but not always big hit or fight harder. He was star in japan probably at that time, so i don't see why shouldn't he put Sapp above Satan... |

I was mostly referring to the fact, from Toriyama's point of view, Bob Sapp wasn't just on a "normal boxer" level as stated on the last page. Imo if Mr Satan is comparable to Bob Sapp then he'd be stronger than most boxers at the time of the statement. Which is obviously still well within normal human levels and nothing like Nam. Just my own thoughts on this. |

From a quick research... In his prime, bobby benches ~600 lbs... x1.8 his weight. (for normal pepole benching 1.4 is awesome). the averge adult weights 160 lbs and can bench around his weight. The WR is about 1076.9 Lbs with bench shirt and 716 lbs without.. so bob isnt peak human level. Something like this could work out.. Strength-wise only: Peak Human lvl >/>> Sapp Prime > Satan > Present bob sapp > averge fighter >>>>> farmer. Of course the gaps in numbers would proably be a lot smaller. |

I don't know why you guys have Satan so low I believe just about everybody that's been at the World Martial Arts Tournament is higher than 5, even the kids Chaotzu > Yajirobe > Nam > Majin Spopovitch > Videl > Chi Chi > Master Roshi (139) > Mr. Satan > Giran > Bacterian > Spopovitch = Jewel = Killa = Yamu > Bulma > Kids (that fought Goten & Trunks) > Mighty Mask = Farmer I can't remember any other fighters, but I have Satan high, he does know basic martial arts, know he cant fly or use ki, yes the Announcer said the WMAT has been lame since goku left, the keyword is GOKU, of course Mr. Satan and no other human fighter can do what Goku & Piccolo Jr. did at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament |

All of the extraordinary fighters left, not just Goku. It's understandable, too. Would you want to compete in the tournament after witnessing Goku and Piccolo's fight?

You could probably even get away with putting him at 5.5, considering that ki doesn't even play any role in his fights |

I'd say Mr. Satan has a powerlevel of 8 or so. Videl...no telling. Guys, ki equals strength/speed/endurance/power unless stated otherwise, like with Ginyu force members such as Burter and Speed. Or like with USSJ Trunks. Edited by POOHEAD189, Jul 21 2013, 11:48 PM.

I usually put him around 7-8, more along the lower end at 7. Not only does Mr. Satan have to be stronger than 5 where a fat, untrained farmer is, but he also has to be stronger than actual tournament fighters who have trained their bodies. Unless you think Mr. Satan took out a bunch of Farmers during his tournament runs. |

Quite a lot to fit in between 5 and 10, kids. Chapter: 431 (DBZ 237), P6.6 Announcer: “Frankly, the Tenkaichi Budoukai which you guys didn’t attend [the 24th] was really boring. It was at such a low level…” Note: most of the finalists in the 25th TB (besides Goku and co., plus Kaioshin and Kibito) were also finalists at the 24th Edited by Pyrus, Jul 22 2013, 12:20 AM.
