Idk why Affleck is signing up for a role that could possibly hurt his career again. It's not like he needs the money or that kind of recognition. He just recently managed to fix his image in Hollywood. If we're lucky he'll help out Snyder and Goyer with the project. The fact that Christian Bale was going to get 60 mil if he did it again probably has something to do with it. Affleck hasn't been doing too bad lately. Especially at last year's Oscars when he won best director for Argo.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	I'm not, never much cared for him as an actor everything I've seen him in he's only really somewhere between A list and B list movie actors. Just doesn't seem fitting as an older Batman. Also I thought it was confirmed as a team up not an adaption of Dark Knight Returns? That would be kind of weird, Dark Knight Rises takes a lot from it already so that as a live action movie has partly been done. Should wait until after Justice League anyway, unless we're having old man Batman in it. Batman is supposed to be this imposing, intimidating figure...Ben Affleck just isn't. Not that Christian Bale was or any of the other actors who played the character really but still..Ben Affleck...

Though I guess he could be good but we need to see him in the suit and doing a bit of acting for it. Never looked at him and thought yes, he should be Batman. Not sure you could ever really look at him and think "That's Bruce Wayne"

It's usually the minor roles that have auditions.

He might not totally butcher the character I guess but if you look at Daredevil and then Batman... If he has some say in how the movie goes it might be better rather than him just starring in it. Personally I think he's only really suited to comedy, romance and drama. If he pulls it off then great, that will be a credit to his acting skills. EDIT though maybe if he's not so great then that will bring the hype of Batman down a bit and let Superman be the actual star of his own movie... Edited by Steve, Aug 23 2013, 01:10 PM.

I hope they release some footage of Ben as Batman really soon because I just can't at all picture him as intimidating, doesn't matter how much muscle someone puts on they're either intimidating or just not at all. How many Batman's are there in the comics? As in people who are THE Batman after Bruce dies or retires. Because if Affleck is an older Batman...he's not really going to fit in to Justice League. And if it's him as a younger Batman in JL well that means it takes place before the MOS sequel which makes no sense. They're just going to ruin the Dark Knight Returns adaption doing it now, the animated movies are fairly new as it is.

The other was Terry Mcginnis, a clone of Bruce made by the organisation Cadmus to replace him after he'd retired.

DKR adaption is just so pointless, give us Superman and Batman vs Brainiac brought in by Lex. That would be cool but a lot to fit in one movie I guess. Not a fan of Lex generally because he's usually involved in some dastardly land grabbing scheme in the movies but if it was Lex as President with a fitting actor it would be awesome. And with Metropolis mostly destroyed he could have built it up again, there's a reason for his presidency set up right there. But it would suck if he had no build up or background from a movie before just suddenly Lex Luthor the evil President gahahaaa.

He probably doesn't want to be typecast like that. Although what does it matter when you're raking in millions?
