I just downloaded Aliens Colonial Marines, and it can't run... It pops up system error and says: The program can't start because d3dx9 43.dll is missing from your computer. I have direct x 11 and i tryed to upgrade to latest version so that i can get this file, but somehow i also can't download it. Anyone knows any solution for this ? |

Have you tried restarting your computer? It's probably not the case, but you never know. Other than that, you could try re-installing the program or updating your video driver. The download may have also come with a specific DirectX thingy for you to install so try to find that maybe. What you should NOT do is try to find a download for that specific DLL. Those are bad, always avoid them. What exactly is it saying about the DirectX thing when you try to download it? |

Yes i restarted it but nothing happend. I also tryed to re-install the game, but it still has same s*** poping up. For DirectX: It says: Setup could not download the file. Please retry later or check network connection. I tryed it couple of times and after 20 seconds of downloading same things happens. My network is obviously good so that is out of question... |

I had the exact same problem in the past try install the latest directx9 ..if the system says you have better version then download the dll...The page where u ll download it ll says where you have to place the dll .... If my merories serves me right I tried the first version ...and somehow the system added the missing dx9 dll .. I hope it d work Use only the second option if there is no other possibility Edited by Pointer, Jul 9 2013, 11:04 AM.

I have directx 11 so i don't know if i should get directx 9... I downloaded dll fixer and found out that i have couple of errors and stuff after scaning (and i just buyed laptop not long ago), but i can't do anything without buying the original version of dll fixer... If you know why i can't get that one file with update and how to get it without any problems it would be some help i guess... |

well when I bought this PC /I have win 7 with dx11/ I wanted to play with a game so called Dragon age origins and it gives me the exact same problem ... As I mentioned I started to install that direct x what tha game suggested during the installation and somehow I dont know how It fixed it I still have direct x 11 while The missing dll files have been added .... The reason why I know It didnt revert back to dx9 that I can play other games which is required Direct x 10 or above Edited by Pointer, Jul 9 2013, 04:11 PM.

I just tryed to download direct x 9 and it says this: You must be running W98, Wmillenum, W2000, WXP or W2003 to install direct x 9. So yea i guess i can only add dll that i nead with update, not change direct x... |

Are you sure that you don't have a Firewall or Antivirus blocking it from downloading? |
