DaizenShuu explanation on "Planet Busters", somewhat

I've found something that might interest a few people over here (even tough I've know of this for a long time). Has anyone ever had an argument of why (most) characters after the Frieza arc could not even blow up a planet (even though freakin' First Form Frieza could) & could not answer the question when asked, well the DaizenShuu has an (indirect) explanation for this & here it is:
Quote:

Big Bang Attack
First Appearance: Chapter 344
Category: ki manipulation
People: Vegeta
Special Characteristics: A ki wave which Vegeta fired at Artificial Human No.19. This technique, which easily destroyed Artificial Human No.19, could be said to be Super Saiya-jin Vegeta's version of the Gyarik-Ho. However, the differences between it and the Gyarik-Ho are the way of firing it and the shape of the ki. First, he sticks one hand out in front, then emits a ki blast from the palm of that hand. This ki is condensed down into one big lump and can deal heavy damage inside one specific range, in contrast with the Gyarik-Ho, which attacks a wide range. After the Big Bang Attack was fired, the ground was wiped out from the spot where Artificial Human No.19 was and onward, as if it had been hollowed out. This effectiveness made it Vegeta's strongest attack at the time. (Daizenshuu 2, p.213/Daizenshuu 4, p.111)
This is DaizenShuu's entry for the Big Bang Attack, it states whilst it only damages within "one specific range" it is still Vegeta's strongest attack at the time, as opposed to the Gallick Gun which targets a larger range (Planet) but is still weaker than the Bing Bang Attack. So one character's strongest attack does not necessarily have to destroy an entire planet even though he himself may be capable of doing so (I am looking at you SSjin3 Goku <_< ).

It's nice to have a (official) confirmation though. :p

Well, nice find, but, honestly it's kinda obiovus that DB characters can concentrate their Ki: they have complete control over their mind and body, and their aim is to hit their opponents, not to destroy planets.
For example: 1st form Frieza destroyed a planet probably 10 times bigger than the Earth (assuming the same density) with one finger, but that attack wouldn't even tickle #18; on the other hand, Ssj kid Trunks' suppressed Ki-blast made #18 s***s her pants, but, despite that, the Earth didn't get destroyed. Does this mean that 1st form Frieza attack is superior? Obviously it doesn't.

That's a very simple point, but I see a lot of people (not on this forum, clearly) who don't understand this, and keep twisting it in order to downplay DBZ.

Ssj3 Goku not going around destroying planets and stars for the lulz doesn't mean he actually couldn't do that.

Never argue with ignorant people, because they drag you down to their level and then they beat you with experience
