Jeremy Kyle is a prick. go make sumin of urself Posts: 523 Group: Duplicate Member #9,568 Joined: June 2, 2013 Favourite Anime Gintama, Space Brothers, You and Me, One Piece Favourite Manga RRR, All Rounder Meguru, No.6	Gonna just risk what rep I might have and say I think Silva is gonna lose his belt at UFC 162. 2013 is gonna be a tough year for GSP and Jose Aldo too I think (facing Chan Sung Jung and maybe Pettis), and if Cruz comes back like he says he is Barao is beating him. Doubt it'll happen but Cormier might get a fight with Jones by the end of the year since he only has 1 more Heavyweight fight so then 6 champs could all be seeing their biggest threats in a while/in some cases so far imo. Also looking forwards to see how Roger Gracie does since I've heard so much about him....mainly from Eddie Bravo lol. Random topic I know but just wanted to put it out there.

So yeh if you've watched 162 you'll know Spoiler: click to toggle Silva lost. Gotta say I knew Weidman had good striking but I didn't expect him to be able to strike against Silva much at all and thought he'd win it on the ground. If they have a rematch I'd imagine Weidman would win by sub or TKO/KO on the ground, but Anderson is saying he doesn't want a rematch anyway although Dana is saying there will be one, so I don't know what'll happen. Funny going on youtube and seeing Anderson SIlva fanboys calling the fight a fix. I've never had anything against Anderson (other than thinking he's overrated (imo Rashad Evans, Jon Jones GSP and maybe Rampage and Mousasi would beat Silva if they were in his weight class going by skill set). Look forwards to Hendricks taking that WW belt next.

From what I've heard Silva was getting a little bit cocky in the second round after Chris Weidman went on the aggressive in the first. As soon as soon as Silva got cocky Weidman capitalized and made him pay for it. of course. BTW a little of topic but do you think Fedor Emelianenko was the best in his prime? Or do you take the popular route and say his fights were always fixed?

If Silva didnt mess around as much I think Weidman would have had to take him down (Silva would be more open to being taken down if he was kicking), but instead he just got clipped and put out. Saying Fedor's fights were fixed is popular? Dont think it is, I think its common for ppl to say he fought "cans" though. If you look at Fedor and Anderson's records the ppl Fedor beat and lost to all had an overall better record in UFC and Pride (ask Dana, Wanderlei, Dan Henderson and other mma industry longtime pros theyll agree that in Pride's day it was the promotion with the best fighters. They were the UFC of their time whereas UFC was more like Dream or Strikeforce in stature/reputation) than those that Anderson beat/lost to. Imo Fedor was greater than Anderson because of the above, and since he was amazing all-round and beat top strikers like Cro Crop, Schilt and Mark Hunt, beat top wrestlers like Coleman (x2), Randleman, Lindland and top sub grapplers like Big Nog and Arona, snd did it all as an undersized HW who I dont think even cut weight, and always went for the finish (Anderson does too tbf, but GSP for example doesnt since his loss to Serra). He doesnt have any big hole in his game like Anderson. Imo Anderson is slightly overrated because of Dana just repeating that hes the best ever and making a bandwagon. There are a few at WW and LHW who I think could beat him (Jon Jones, Rashad, Rampage, GSP, Mousasi....Machida and Cung Le have a chance too because they have amazing TDD and striking so could at least force a good striking matchup but it's pretty hard to outstrike A. Silva when hes on a good day) and even more in other divisions. Someone like Nick Diaz could do about as good at MW probably since hes basically like Anderson (strong striking and subs, average wrestling, although Anderson has way better kicks than Diaz and Nick has better subs) and without top takedown artists with strong sub defense at MW he'd be able to beat everyone until someone like Weidman/GSP/Anderson/Machida appears (good wrestling and subs or good tdd with better striking than him). Imo Anderson is the best MW ever (along with Sakuraba) and one of the best strikers in mma ever but not the best ever at all. Fedor still has that status I think and the only ones I see threatening it atm are Jon Jones and Barao although I'm keeping an eye on Weidman and Mousasi. Wanderlei is still the Silva of mma.... Come at me.

Firefox Favourite Manga Dragonball	I think he thoroughly deserved that. That is exactly what he gets. Obviously didn't respect his opponent. Got completely carried away with the showboating. I've seen him do that a few times before and almost get taken out. Maybe now he will learn some kind of lesson that he isn't invincible. That he can't just dick around in these fights. I don't know what he was thinking. The better fighter on the night won in my opinion.

A lot of strikers get their striking nullified a little against top wrestlers (eg-Nick/Nate Diaz). Dana White's job? You mean when he said he was Dana Black? That was just because someone in the crowd of reporters suggested he looked like Dana when he was talking on the podium or whatever. His fighting style can be arrogant for sure but outside the ring I've always thought he's a nice guy....like a lot of fighters are really. Somebody needs to revive the MMA discussion thread so we can talk about Hendricks, Chan Sung Jung/Jose Aldo, Doo Ho Choi and whatever else is on my mind....
