And I'm not talking about those cheaply made MMORPGs on random websites, I mean something like Skyrim or Final Fantasy where you can either play as the roster or your own character.
Hey I take offense to that ;p jk

I am guilty sorry everyone. RIP Emile Griffith. Jeremy Kyle is a prick. go make sumin of urself

If you want time-based stuff like Zelda then Legacy of Goku 2 and 3 are good.
If you want stuff that's turned based but still with an element of time, kinda like Chrono Trigger then Attack of the Saiyans is good (probably the closest to what you're looking for).
If you want turn based with some commands to enter then Legendary Super Warriors is good (very high replay value since there are so many characters and moves/cards to unlock).

Super Saiya Densetsu is meant to be good apparently but it's never had an official English-language release. There are too many DBZ/anime/manga/Shonen Jump games that are good but weren't translated....sucks.

I'm not sure DBZ could really make a good RPG story. The characters never really team up and most of them fight similarly.
“Making weed illegal is a little bit paranoid, don’t you think? It’s like saying God made a mistake, you know what I mean? It’s like, you’ve got the whole world and Earth and all its holy creations, right? And God is like, Hmm, lookit, my whole world in all its holy ways, and he’s like, Oh-my-me-oh-sh**, I left weed in here. Yeah right, I left weed in here. Oh, shouldn’t have smoked that joint on the third day.”

I want something that's pen-ended and non-linear honestly, similar to Elder Scrolls games.

I think an interesting idea would be a somewhat-linear game. Something that follows the main storyline but there are certain "choices" at certain points in the game. An example would be when Krillin is about to kill Vegeta. You can choose between killing him and not killing him. This would affect the ending and the rest of the story. I'm not so sure how but thats up to the developers.

Soldiers! Don't give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you and enslave you; who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel! Who drill you, diet you, treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder!
Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have a love of humanity in your hearts! You don't hate!

I would, it's one of those things that could be amazing but it'd never be made.

If such a game is ever made, they should do it like GTA IV was made. Where you have the main story with the main character and later down the road, release expansions with other stories of a different perspective. Then at some point in the game they all meet. I really enjoyed the Episodes of Liberty City. I thought that was pretty sweet. As far as a Skyrim or Final Fantasy type goes, I would be down for that as well! Unfortunately they haven't made anything like Legacy of Goku/Buu's Fury since the early 2000's for the GBA, unless that is, that I missed something?! Someone confirm nothing like those games were made after Buu's Fury. :)

I would love to see something that expanded on Budokai's open world, where you can actually land where you want and walk around cities. Also, the choice to attack civilians or not so, there could be a morality bar or somethin.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

How popular is DBO?

They could do a new version of it for the next gen consoles, would be awesome.
Like an open world MMO thing that has it's own story/quests rather than follows DB's story.

Or DBO could just be ported and translated.

I would love one! I really liked Attack of the Saiyans (not sure if it's neccessarily an RP but who cares).. it's like my favorite DBZ game, on a handheld atleast.

Attack of the Saiyans was really good. Legend of the Super Saiyan for the SNES is still my favourite DBZ rpg and would love to have seen that modernized (though Attack of the Saiyans was pretty close I guess).
