Flip-Floppity; Debate-relevant

People's beliefs change. It could be because of a discovery/release of new information from Toriyama, Toei, or someone else involved in the series, or it could just be because that person decided to change things up. I've flip-flopped on so many subjects over the years that I can't count them all. One month I could debate to the death that 50% Full-Power Super Saiyan Goku was stronger than Super Saiyan Grade 3 Trunks, and the next month I could debate the opposite.

Have you ever believed one thing so vehemently that your default response to anyone believing the opposite was "You're a f***ing jackass"? But then at some point you decide, "Hey, this makes more sense than what I currently think. I'm going with this now," and then feel like an a*** for trashing the belief and the people who believed it prior?

I know it's happened to me a few times. I recall the Android-Freeza debate being that I'd basically default to assuming someone was mentally retarded if they thought the androids were anywhere near as weak as Freeza, even prior to absorbing energy. Obviously now I have a completely different outlook on that particular debate. :yay:

Pretty much when I joined this site, everything I thought I knew was wrong. Mostly because I was into the anime only.
I was so dead set on what I thought I knew, but I had to let go of my pride and accept that I was wrong.
