Did AT change Kaioshin's power?

This may sound stupid, but hear me out.

At the TB, Kaioshin was shown to be just what a god should be: intelligent, mysterious, able to scare the piss out of the universe's greatest fighters (Piccolo) and able to handle the power of a SSJ2; he had an air of regality and might: he seemed to know all the answers and seemed to be the kind of guy you don't want to get on the bad side of.

Then we go to Babidi's ship and all that is thrown out the window and we're left with a piss weak, naive purple dude who's afraid of anything that moves and shows little intelligence, mystery, or power at all. He only does a few semi-impressive things like save Gohan from Boo's attack and stand up to Goku (if only for a bit). There was also a moment (maybe dub exclusive) where he threatens to f*ck up Babidi worse than Majin Boo would. Apart from that though, he's a wimp. All the awesome stuff he showed at TB flew right out the window.

Is it possible that AT decided to make him weaker when he got to writing the Babidi section? Or were we just being strung along, thinking he's a powerful god, only to learn that Kaioshin is actually a wimp?

It's like Vegeta said. Kaioshin was supposed to look good, but in comparison to them he wasn't.

Or maybe AT had a change of heart. Who knows.

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

It was the allure of the new character, sort of a cinematic thing. You may be onto something. One thing I definitely did notice is the sharp, serious features of Kaio-shin. His eyes, jawline, etc. However, later on in the series, especially when fused with Kibito, his features are much softer and he is frequently used as comic relief. It's all in the art. I'm not sure if he intended for Kaio-shin to be stronger, but, Kaioshin's design and contribution to the story greatly changed as time went on. Notice the darker lines and more defined features in his initial debut versus later on in the Boo saga, as well as his general attitude. He was less serious, mysterious and powerful. He didn't carry that air of mysticism anymore. His art change reflects that. I'm not sure it's indicative of any power change but Kaio-shin definitely changed significantly already, at least artistically and the way he was used in the story.

MY FACE!

I think people just go back and forth in an attempt to piss one another off concerning Kaioshin, Piccolo, and base Saiyans.

Daniels and Carver.
D'Angelo and Wallace.
Namond Brice and Cutty.
