Arguably one of the biggest debatable issues on this website is the jump in Piccolo's power. He jumped from around 1.2-1.5 million to over 120 million, right? Nope. Piccolo (Namek) : 1,200,000 Piccolo (Android Saga) : >120,000,000 ''But Drew, that's a 100x increase! It doesn't make any sense!'' That's because people ignore a very vital part in Piccolo's growth : waiting for Goku to return to Earth. Chapter: 333 (DBZ 139), P8.1 Gohan: “So, do you still spend every day in intense training?” Piccolo: “More or less…” Piccolo trains intensely every day, meaning that he'd grow in power at least a little bit. Chapter: 334 (DBZ 140), P1.4 Goku: “Well at any rate, who was it who defeated Freeza? That was an incredible ki. Was it Piccolo? Or Vegeta?” Note: obviously it wasn't either, but it might be notable that Goku at least felt it conceivable that Piccolo did it. Now, let's look at this. Freeza was suppressed, yes, but it's logical to assume that he was around 3-5 million. Why? He's in his final form. Sure, you could argue that he can control his power level expertly with his enhancements, but that would be conjecture. The lowest we see him in that form is 3,000,000. Chapter: 336 (DBZ 142), P6.1-2 Context: after Piccolo says that only those with confidence in their abilities should come battle the androids Vegeta: “Don’t make me laugh. Aren’t you’re the one with the least confidence?" Piccolo: “What was that? You want to try me?” Vegeta was superior to 3rd form Freeza on Namek and presumably trained while everyone was waiting for Goku to return to Earth. The mere fact that Piccolo challenges him means that he's at least near Vegeta, warranting at the very minimum, a 2x increase Piccolo (Namek) : 1,200,000 Piccolo (Trunks Saga) : 3,000,000 - 10,000,000 Piccolo (Android Saga) : > 120,000,000 |

as I got roflstomped in the prev thread ...I can say that The only chance for piccolo to gain *100 Is that he has the potential of Nail too thus he can increase faster and pretty quickly |

This is a possibility, but we don't know much about the three year training in canon. However, we do see SSj Goku training with Gohan and Piccolo in a single title page, suggesting that him training in SSj did indeed happen. |
