Funimations Facebook webpage has announced that they are planning to release Dragon Ball Z (not kai) remastered on Blu-ray. They put up a poll and a survey asking fans certain questions about their experience with Dragon Ball Z.

Would you buy it? Go over to their Facebook page and let them know.

That's pretty awesome news but is that like the cleaned up remastered version?

I'm not really sure all that it entails, but it's sure to be a high definition version. Probably better quality than the Dragon boxes.

Didn't they try this and then stop because it was too expensive? What's to say they won't repeat history?

Yes, they've released DBZ on Blu ray before and stopped after two sets. I'm not interested in this at all. I've already got all the Dragon Boxes. But I guess this is cool for people who are forced to buy the horrendous orange bricks.

If they have the utterly uncut Japanese versions I would buy them. Probably really expensive.

I like the orange bricks more than Dragon Box soley because they let you choose between Funi and Japanese music :c (The blu rays would be better (they have Funi soundtrack right?) but I don't have a Blu Ray player).

Anyway all these DBZ releases are really getting out of hand. How many times does the series need to be released? It's a very old series that doesn't run anymore so there's not going to be a massive herd of newcomers and chances are any current fan who wanted to buy the series would have already done so the last 20 times it came out.

Well I will buy it despite already owning some of the seasons.

And I laugh when people say "just get the dragon boxes". Uh right. Like I have 1500 to spend on that ish.

Since I don't own any Dragonball, this could be good news. If they release a better looking Z with choice between Faulconer and Jap, I may buy it.

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

I just think that Blue-ray quality would just visually enhance some of the crappy animation that's in the series.

I get sick of FUNI simply re-re-re-releasing the series. Unless it features other collectable merchandise, then I'm really not interested in it.

Well, to be fair, the Dragon Boxes ARE amazing, but yeah. Since they're out of print there's no real way right now.

Yawn, another attempt by Funi to milk the DBZ cow. Not interested.

I am already planning on buying the Kai sets, when they all are released (including Boo arc), so I won't buy this. I already have the DBZ box-sets.
