The whole "Mist" ability is literally the only real useful technique he has. Janemba on one hand is a reality warping, jelly bean dropping, multi dimensional crushing son of a *. There is nothing at all that's going give Hildegarn the advantage beyond his mist and that's going to give him a little bit of time since the entire point of it means that Janemba can't hit Hildengarn until the monster actually physically attacks. And even then he might not have to. Janemba might just come up pop Hildegarn into another dimension, the powers and skills that Janemba has are frankly haxed especially at equal levels. You may recall that at equal levels, Cell is one of the most powerful characters due to his abilities and skills that far outstrip everyone else. Well Janemba's one of those guys that can outclass Cell at the equal levels department and potentially gets into the #1 spot, debatably surpassed only by the higher level Majin Boos.
