I remember it coming on a lot when I was a kid but I never even took the time to watch it. A friend of mine told me it's good and I started on it a little, but I was wanting to know what some of ya'll think about Buffy the Vampire Slayer. What's up?

I fast-forwarded a lot because of that. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. I watched the majority of it on Netflix (the rest of it was fast-forwarded or skipped). Spike and Angel were definitely my favorite characters. I didn't care about anybody else except Buffy, and that's because Sarah Michelle Gellar.

I have season one right in the dvd player, I just need to know if it's worth watching or am I going to have to deal with some cheesiness.

You could tell the writers didn't care anymore. Also i think the show is showing it's age now.

The sixth and seventh seasons were kind of unnecessary and dragged out. Spoiler: click to toggle One thing I thought was funny was during the seventh season. The "true" vampire was resurrected and whooped everybody. Then after Buffy manages to defeat it, suddenly everyone is capable of defeating numerous true vamps at once. Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	As far as I remember it is very cheesy. But in a classic way, it's way cooler than most vampire shows today they're all just romance/sex based teen nonsense. Used to watch Buffy as a kid not sure if I ever finished it but I did enjoy it. Been considering watching it on Netflix actually... As I said it is cheesy but it is also fairly old too so it's worth a try, it's nice to have a heroine that's actually tough unlike Elena in Vampire Diaries, Buffy is nowhere near as whiny.

Posts: 1,922 Group: Member Member #7,745 Joined: June 11, 2012	I just recently got the first season and I agree with Pelador it has gotten a little aged. I don't know when the first season was filmed but most of the jokes or relief comedy sounded stale. I like the eerie dark feel to it although I'm not sure if that's just to do with lighting or just being a old show. It's suppose to be really great and kinda the godfather to supernatural shows on today but I'm yet to be impressed.
