Becuase Akira Toriyama stated that he whanted to make BoG movie before EoZ. And here is why: Toriyama states in his recent interviews that the characters had pretty much reached their maximum strength by the end of the Majin Buu era, and are expressed by the Uub era to be too old, and past their primes: It’s because I thought that period would be best in terms of timing, because at that time, everyone’s reached nearly perfect strength; during the Uub era after that, everyone’s gotten too old; and almost the whole cast of characters is there. The fact is, I thought, “Man, I really made everyone old in the last chapter of the manga”. I even gave Vegeta a mustache (laughs). So, I chose this period because everyone had got to maximum strength. A few years after the “Majin Buu arc”, and before Pan’s birth. When I decided, “For this movie, let’s go with the whole cast!” I thought, “What era would be best?” If it’s a few years after the “Majin Buu arc”, then almost all the cast members are at MAX strength…. And also, you know, in the final chapter, where Uub appears, I made [characters like] Bulma and Kuririn pretty old, so honestly, I thought, “Maaaybe it’s a biiit difficult” [to make the time period any later]. (laughs) So it would be the opposite; Goku wouldn’t be stronger in his base form, he’d probably be weaker on account of his age. Btw that also proofs how SSJ3 Goku was strongest Goku we ever seen in manga, not Goku at EoZ.

And btw it would be ridiculous to go against dbz creator words. He knows how strong they are and how strong they could get, and here he makes point how during end of Majin boo saga every character reached his max power and couldnt be any stronger. So yea that pretty much solves the case...

Mr. Vegetto He knows how strong they are and how strong they could get, and here he makes point how during end of Majin boo saga every character reached his max power and couldnt be any stronger. Where'd ya get that from? I seem to recall Goku saying he'd hit his peak during Cell Saga, yet he was even stronger come Buu Saga.

There's no reason to assume why wouldn't Oob be at Kid Boos level he has come back to life as a good person but he is the same guy,Goku said that he was waiting for that fight ,and he said that Oob must learn to control he's power not get stronger

Man... we need to give Goku some more credit here, though. I know the fight lasted like 5 secs, but Goku straight up said the kid lived up to his expectations. I mean.. What else amount of power could Goku be talking about? None. Unless it's something random.

Based on your personal interpretation of his quote. Personal interpretation is a huge problem when presenting said quotes as debate-ending fact. I prefer to go by "Death of the Author" - http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DeathOfTheAuthor - everything becomes much simpler. OT: I believe the following (chains are not indicative of gaps, only placements): Fat Buu > [EoZ] Base Goku >~ [EoZ] Base Vegeta > Good Buu Fat Buu >~ [Post-Zeta] SSJ2 Gohan So, personally... I believe that Gohan would have an easy victory......................... but he'll probably screw it up like every other battle he ever had a huge advantage in, somehow.
