I do try to watch the news though sometimes instead of DBZ.

Infact my dad and grandparents think I am immature cause I don't watch the news and Im not watching dragonball z in place of it.

You're better off sticking to DBZ. I'll give you a brief summary of the top 5 talked about things on the mainstream news

1. War with Syria
2. War with Syria
3. War with Syria
4. Analyst/ex-politician pushing for war with Syria
5. War with Syria

There. Now you know what's on the news without watching it.

For what it's worth, the news is only full of "X amount of people were killed today in *Insert place name here*, terrible stuff", and then occasionally ending with "And now the lighter side of news, a dog with no legs can play the piano", or something.

DBZ is better for you life, and is better entertainment across the board.

Considering one of the most popular things to watch in this country, among adults and kids alike, is 90 minutes of men kicking a ball around; I don't think anything I watch can be considered childish.
Sorry, but that is not at all what sports is. DBZ is just some monkeys killing aliens, don't understand how that can be considered fun.

:)

No one watches the news anymore. They only watch their weekly sitcoms/tv shows and sports. Hardly anyone I know just goes home and flips through channels looking for something to watch.

I have 21 years and I'm happy to debate in these forums DB / Z / GT. I like even disney movies like Aladdin, Toy Story, The Lion King, Pinocchio. But both? Are my tastes, spend part of my time, I have work and life.

As for the news, at least in my country, serves great distractor. you always talk about violence, assaults, robberies, crimes and so on. This is a trick I use "my own country" I mean the 0.1% richest of my country. Never mentioned in the news, large social differences, theft of pension savings, poor wages and mistreatment of workers.

Honestly in my family hardly ever see the TV news. We heard the news THROUGH social networks.

I'm 22 and have recently rewatched the entire series from dragon ball to dragon ball gt and all of the movies. I go to school full time, play sports with friends, work a part time job, and have a girlfriend. So why does it matter what I do in my free time. Dragon ball is entertaining to me. I actually met my best friend in fifth grade as a result of our love for dragon ball. Different strokes for different folks. Do what makes you happy because at the end of the day nobody cares.
Ally to good! Nightmare to you!

I have all 9 seasons of dbz in remastered an di have to keep them safe in my closet where my dad would not find them or else he would throw them away and tell me to grow up. I know it is probably immature to do something like that but I do not want him taking away something from me that I like or enjoy or something that makes me happy.

It must suck having to do that. It's really not immature to take measures to keep your prized possessions safe. Look on the bright side. Even if your dad does throw them away you can always buy them again if you move out and watch them to your hearts content.
"The future of Gohan. The Future of Chi Chi. Not to mention the future of the entire universe. It all depends on me!!!! And I don't care if you're a million times stronger than me! I'm not going to let them down! So get ready Frieza because this time you're going Down!!!"

Flatmate and I have this routine of watching dbz with dinner every night. Our landlord took our tv box so we've had no broadcast tv for months (not even mad). The only thing that works is the ps2 and ps3 so I brought my orange bricks. We're about halfway through namek. Manage to get through 1-2 episodes per night.

He enjoys it more than I do!
