lol who the f cares? as long as you get a job or a life you are already all "grown up", what you watch on tv is no real testimony on your maturity |

26-year-old fan of roughly 10 years reporting in. The answer is, "no, it is absolutely not immature." Pardon me while I go chuckle at the scene where Kami headbutts Yamcha in the balls. |

Let's say you're on the operating table, being treated by the best heart surgeon in the world. He saves your life. Then goes home to watch DBZ. Will you CARE? It's not the hobbies that we have that determines adult-ness. It's the way we balance those hobbies with the rest of our lives. If all you DID was watch DBZ, then you would be childish because you are not balancing a hobby with a good work ethic. But you would be just as childish if you spent all day working out, clubbing, collecting stamps....etc. |

I find it funny that my college teammates not only accept that I enjoy/love DBZ so much, but a lot of them like it as well. Even one teammate down the hall pointed me to a great site with Japanese subs to watch all the episodes online - Kai especially. That's what I've been wantin'. I got so much grief from my High School teammates and you would think college dudes are more "mature" than High School dudes. That goes to show how much "kids" were pretty much on my HS team to think like that. They'll see once they move on up here in soon's time. |

Don't sweat it. I watch DBZ and play Pokemon. I don't mind if people think i'm weird or something. People are allowed to reserve judgement but they can't dictate who you are. If someone thinks i'm weird, I really don't care. It's not like theirs a norm for society about what's child like and what's not. |

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

No? Who cares how old you are. Just watch whatever entertains you. I still have all my DBZ mangas around my room and I'm not ashamed of it whatsoever. f*** anyone who says otherwise

I'm 24 and still enjoy DBZ, Pokemon, Aaahh Real Monsters and lots of other animes/cartoons. Don't let age dictate what you enjoy watching/playing. |

Nope, not at all. I'm 25 an have been a fan for a long long time, an only really within the past year has my personal "Fandom" been amped up somewhat. Last year onwards, I've picked up Season 1-4 DVD's, Manga of Dragon Ball and DBZ, stuff like T-shirts/action figures and even a replica Dragon Ball. I have a good job, a 3 year old daughter, I'm married, live in my own house and have a dog, so if I'm childish for watched Dragon Ball, then god know why I'm wasting my time on that stuff. |

My dad has to be one of the manliest ppl yet, still he likes Piccolo bcuz of his not a b*tch attitude and Broly's awesome powers. He hated Cooler bcuz i use yo get him to play BT3 and slaughter him with Cooler. Its not meant to be immature so it shouldn't really matter |

I've always wanted to know- what are we supposed to do if we get rid of our "childish" pastimes like video games and anime? Watch nothing but Breaking Bad and sitcoms? Do the daily capitalist grind? Work all day, come home, and watch the news all evening while glancing at the latest cop-drama on FOX? What is this "life" that we don't have. A girlfriend, I understand. But hanging out with friends? What if my friends happen to like anime and video games too? Do I have to find new friends because my "life" doesn't meet up to your conformist standards? Doesn't sound at all appealing to me. |
So....His shoes are Super Saiyan 4? Here's the the glorious position of being part of DBZ forums' prestiged Member #OVER 9000 club. | |

Maturity is not define by your interest, but by your actions...at least that's how I see it....and to a certain degree. A 20 year old going gaga over a Dora The Explorer episode...that's kind of weird. But if you are a man that has a job, supports his family, plays with his kids and can sit back and still enjoy a couple episodes of Dragon Ball, or any anime for that matter, I see nothing wrong with that. Hell, go ahead and watch Spongebob, as long as your actions do not hurt anyone and are not immature, you cannot be an immature person. How many people out there drink alcohol everyday night, go to clubs and all that but have no jobs, leach off of their parents and don't do anything else but drink and "party"? What's so mature about going out there and brag about the girls you got and the parties you go to? So no, it's not immature or childish to be 19 and watching DBZ, as long as you're not hurting anyone and you're doing what you're suppose to do like having a job and helping out around the house, it's all good. Since when is people beating the hell out of each other considered childish? If Scarface was a cartoon would that be considered childish? Look at the people in Japan, the majority of them watch anime and they have jobs and are some of the smartest people on earth. If that isn't mature I don't know what is. |
