Calculations and assumptions from early manga to late manga. It's a common fact that everybody gets stronger and stronger, and meet stronger people. While it is implied that Satan is weaker than most of the contestants of 21 TB, I don't believe it's many. So where are his feats? Where are the supporting statements? You're just clinging to your belief with nothing to substantiate it. Just because you strongly feel like something is one way doesn't make it so. There has to be something to back it up, and right now you've got nothing. Quote: Oh, and also... Goku knocked out the dinosaur with his Power Pole. It's still his strength propelling the pole, and it's still a dinosaur. Can you picture Videl or Mark bashing a dinosaur's brains in with the Power Pole, nearly tanking a bullet to the forehead, shrugging off being hit by a speeding car, or anything else Goku did in the first volume? I think he's stronger than at least Bacterian and Ranfan. Bacterian had strength that even Yamcha adknowleged, and Ranfan's surprise attack against Namu was far more effective than Giran's sucker punch on Goku. Mark would stand no chance against them. As for the topic, a complete mismatch. The Bear Bandit is far larger than an average bear, who are already around 5x stronger than normal humans. By comparision, Mr. Satan wasn't strong enough to even knock a normal human unconcious. Again, it's off screen, but he did win at least 1 World Martial Arts tourney solo. And by the looks of things, even his team is pretty tough, with them all being below Hercule. I mean, his acrobat can jump the entire height of the Cell Games arena, and his muscle man can EAT solid steel. Holy f*ck, solid steel! And I'm pretty sure he knocked Van Zant out with his gang pretty damned cold after they shot Bee. I still don't see sources/links for the interviews, very disappoint :/ So, just by power scaling (and fudging a bit with the filler scenes, none of which actively contradict the source material), Hercule's speed is radically higher than that of the Bear Thief on its own. And unless we can get an active Bear physical strength (I know they're strong, but where do we keep getting the 5 times figure from again? Nat Geo or another reliable source, or are we just saying that?) then it's tough to determine the Bear Thief's durability and his overall speed is still nothing for Hercule. And if the Cell vs Trunks fight is any indication, Speed ultimately trumps Raw Power at the end of a duel. Hate to say it, but Hercule still seems to have a killing edge on this inconsequential bear. If nothing else, his endurance is unbelievable, with the Canon scene of him being launched into a mountain and returning in one piece. Hercule's a lot tougher than he gets credit for.

He won a Tenkaichi Budokai against normal humans, compared to Goku and co. competing in ones with multiple superhuman competitors. The scene with his students at the Cell Games was filler, as was him knocking out the gunman. In the manga, the gunman shot Satan a few seconds after he got beat up. Those filler feats also blatantly contradict what both the manga and Toriyama's own words state about Mark's strength.

Even Krillin from BoDB could defeat the Bear Thief, I reckon the bear's power level is somewhere up to 15 to 20.

What feats does bear thief have? He's a big bear with a sword? Big deal. Any moron can own a sword, doesn't mean he can use it. Same deal with any moron being big, doesn't mean it's an advantage. It just means your big. We're degrading Hercule, but bear thief doesn't even have a character arc. He doesn't do anything. He's inconsequential. Plot alone means Hercule could whip his furry arse, never the less actual feats (Filler or not).

Pui Pui thought he was tough for living in Ten Times Earth Gravity. So did Raditz. Raditz got Goku killed, Pui Pui stained Babidi's rugs on his way out dead. So yeah, in a certain respect, Raditz DOES trump Pui Pui.

The punching machine levels between Satan's record and his Boo Arc attempt still show there wasn't a massive difference. TheAce Hell even by Buu, Goku still acknowledged that he's an incredible Martial Artist and even ops to pick him over Dende (Who logically would be stronger and more adept with Ki, aided by his Guardian Namek Magic and healing) just because of that (And I guess without Dende there are no Dragon Balls either, but there's always been a way around those sorts of issues so it's moot either way.) IIRC, he only noted such in the dub. In the manga, he never made any comment on Satan's skill, which he wouldn't have even got a chance to view anyway. Plus, the best finishing move he could think of against #18 was a punch with a fancy name. He's got little showing for himself in terms of skill. Plus, Toriyama even stated that he doubted Mark could beat Bob Sapp.
