Goku Unlocked SSj becoz of Pure Rage Look at Bardock too Rage Runs in their Family .. especially if u are a Child of Goku and Chi Chi Cell had the perfect time to get a rage boost

Gohan can't even get angry like he did as a kid all the way up to SSJ2 as a teen and adult. Cell wouldn't be able to tap into some power like that--that he doesn't have lying dormant inside him like Gohan does. Gohan is the only one that can get mad and no one stop him. Cell's a punk. The circumstances does, Gohan had many hardships through out his life, but Cell only has to become what he was programmed to! There might be cells of becoming hot tempered really quickly, but it does not mean that it will play a large role over the time, let's see Vegeta for example, he is a Saiyan, (a pure one). Yet he managed. Rage boost still might come out of Cell's potential, but I doubt that it will like Gohan's.

If Cell had Gohan's cells, he'd... just be killed Gohan instead of trying to self destruct. He'd get a rage boost, but Gohan would still win. No cheap knockoffs are going to win against Gohan.
