Yea, the story seems overtly ridiculous but the idea itself isn't that usual. It's always very interesting to hear about such things.

After seeing all the stuff government has kept from us and has been leaked i wouldn't doubt half of this. Except Quantum computing, is that even real? lol.

Of course, they do get a lot of flack for their computers not being truly based on quantum phenomena, but IMO, it's just a matter of technology; once we develop "transistors" (wouldn't be transistors in the typical sense) that could act to represent qubits, we should have it locked.

And like I said, the internet was originally created for research labs to share findings and communicate with each other.

If you dig deeper, you'll find human using cats to film cameras.

The weird part of Youtube is about as far as I'm willing to go. And I never get there intentionally either.

I've seen horrible things. I don't know if I'm even allowed to mention the things I've witnessed on the internet.

I'm not so sure I approve of the deep web because it is chock full of child porn and other disgusting things like that.

You can order guns and put hits on people using it lol downloaded Tor to have a look at some of the cool stuff on it(NOT the stuff I mentioned) but after my friend saying whats on a lot of it, no.
That's a pretty shallow view imo. You'll only find CP, and other illegal activities if you look for it

Lol no. Deep web are websites that are not indexed by most search engines. The majority of the internet content is classified as deep web. Then you have the layers of it, which you will need proxies and whatnot to access it, but even in these layers the majority of the content is not illegal. I've been browsing it a lot these past 2 weeks, and saw how wrong I was by even making this thread.

been down as far as the main page of the hidden wiki, just to see what was there. most of it is relatively ok. black market stuff, file sharing, political discussion, things of that nature. then, of course, there is the CP and the hitmen, both of which need to be hunted down ASAP.
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

for those that blindly follow word of god

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

I'm very familiar with some of this deep web/invisible web stuff, especially the Tor network. I've interacted with people and seen things on the internet from there that you can't even begin to comprehend unless you saw it for yourself. In the interest of self preservation, I won't go into detail about it :p . But the internet is like the universe. What you know of, what most people know of, is really just like our solar system or galaxy. Limited in scope, yet seemingly all-encompassing and overly massive.

Having said that, 4chan is definitely the a***** of the internet. Not a lot of the crazy things you can find/see on Tor.

I'm glad that you see you were wrong -Freeman. I personally have never talked to a hitman on Tor, but, the fact that I know where to access one is scary and stuff like this should probably continue to stay away from the general public's fingertips.

The most traumatizing thing I have ever seen on the internet wasn't on Tor. I really can't remember it that well, all I know was I was horribly sick for the rest of the night and disturbed on a very fundamental level. It wasn't just one of those shocker disgusting internet sites, it was a real-life recording of a horrific event that I probably should not have watched. I was naive and probably 13 years old though.

I find it weird that 90% of the internet could be stuff that the average dbzf user (in other words someone who is fairly experienced with using the internet) hasn't come across. What justifies all that material, because surely there isn't that much interest in it? And the vast majority of those who put information on the internet don't have much/any interaction with those parts of the web so how does that much info amass? Silly questions? Idk.

Anyway the furthest I've gone is just some site via Tor where they sell random *stuff*.

Scariest sites would either be weird occult stuff that just was creepily formatted and I only went on for like 5 seconds when I was younger, or the Donnie Darko official website which at 18 years of age left me scared to go to the bathroom because I'd be alone for a short amount of time (yes I'm a wuss, but that music is worse than Orichamaru's theme).
