Posts: 908 Group: Member Member #9,238 Joined: March 22, 2013 Gender Not Specified	So, getting towards the tail end of the Frieza Saga , (about 3 episodes left) and in the episode "Gohan Returns", Goku get's knocked down into the ground causing Gohan to return to the battle field. This is also the same episode in which the wish is made to return all the people killed by Frieza and his men, on Namek back to life. My question is, when Goku went missing, was he in fact killed by Frieza, and it was the Wish that brought him back to life? Or was he never really dead at all, as Frieza would have had us to believe?

Chrome Favourite Manga Dragonball Z	Goku was alive the whole time. So was Frieza. Goku escaped the planet namek explosion as he told us. Shenron cannot revive someone who is alive. That's why it didn't work, because he wasn't dead. He could still be teleported to earth though, but Goku declined that wish aswell and chose instead to train alone.

D'oh on me then, I knew that as well, but it came up in discussion when we watched it, and i thought "That's a good point". Totally forgot about the Raditz fight!

"I WISH GOKU TO COME BACK ALIVE!" can be used 1 time. "I WISH THAT THOSE WHO WERE KILLED BY CELL TO COME BACK ALIVE!" can be used as a majority.

Nope, otherwise Krillin would have been brought back with that wish. It's the same reason Goku wasn't wished back when they wished for those killed by Cell to return.

Besides he and Krillin hit final Frieza at least once.
