Him as a scholar in peace but there to take on any villain or threat. When the time comes that is. I just don't think it should of been Oob. He was random--why should he be the successor of Goku? Gohan > Goten/Pan > Goku jr.

Both embodied what a saiyan warrior should be and both would make worthy successors if they continued. But alas Cell Games Gohan slacked off for 7 years and sat on his a*** for 2 days in order to get power stronger than SSJ3 Goku and Gotenks. Future Gohan died in a battle he tactically couldn't win, but fought because it's what his father would've done. Trace the legacy of badassery from Bardock to Goku to these 2 Gohan's, and you have something to be proud of.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Dragon Ball	I always wanted Gohan to be his succesor, but seeing how he is not a fighter like the others and only fights when he has to and rather studies than trains I'd say he's not exactly the perfect succesor. If we dont count GT I think it should be Pan and Uub - Pan's got the right attitude and Uub has massive power and they were both trained by Goku so I dont see anyone else to be Goku's succesor than these 2.

Personally, I can tell you why... Uub- Belongs to a poor village who starves for weeks without eating proper food. Trunks- Zillionaire guy who works at Capsule Corp. Goten- Studying and also flirting with girls. Pan- Training. Gohan- Continuing his scholar researches. Vegeta- Train Train Train..

Toei obviously wanted her to be it with the filler of her knocking out Goten and attending every battle thru GT with him. Even bog sees her get a nod from Toriyama about helping out in battle from the freaking womb lol
