The only one where they went a little far (that I can remember) is when Goku went SSJ3. The time consuming staring contests, long conversations before/during fights, and the complaint of excessive powering up never really bothered me. Especially in instances where I felt the villain had been built up in such a way that it warranted the occasional nervous pause/stand off. It's often a fight to the death, so it makes sense for them to act cautiously, and also push their limits power-wise. I mean you think back to villains like Freiza, they spent such a long time establishing his henchmen as such hot-shots, that by the time we got to the man himself, he had such a bad-ass/invincible aura about him. Back when I was a ten year old, he'd raise the hairs on the back of my neck.

Posts: 908 Group: Member Member #9,238 Joined: March 22, 2013 Gender Not Specified	My main one is stuff like "why didn't [character name] do this?", when the answer is always going to be the same, because they are fictional characters who are written to do certain things for dramatic effect. My only other minor one is those who used to be part of the fandom, and are now like casual fans. And that's not anything really bad, but just those who watched it years ago and cannot remember what happened. Again stuff like "Like when Nappa went super Saiyan, or was it Burter?" , like randomly filling in the blanks with names/places/etc.

That, and as already mentioned, people who go by the dub for evidence, as well as use contradictive anime filler even when being hypocrytical of their choices.

Firefox Favourite Manga Dragon Ball, Fullmetal Alchemist, Assassination Classroom, Deadman Wonderland	Buuberries May 9 2013, 11:27 AM when people use japanese terms so you're there having to waste your time doing a google search. chances are that person knows full-well wtf it is in english so at least have the courtesy to make your post readable to most people. chances are english is also their first language so just why I'm on occasion guilty of that, but I more lean toward using the correctly translated terms and not the FUNI dub ones. For example, they're not "Androids", they're "Artificial Humans"; and it's not "Sagas", they're "Arcs". A saga is a whole epic, like the entire series. Another thing I hate is the fanboys who grossly over exaggerate Broly's abilities by supporting his feats with no consistent logic at all. This happens on occasion with other characters too, but Broly fans usually seem to be the worst with this.

Another one are those think there's some magical number on top of the SS Multiplier, so all gains made in one form only stays in that form... that gets on my nerves.

The series is first and foremost, an adventure series with fighting to supplement the story. It is not a true fighting series until after the Cell Arc, by which that time the canon series was already 3/4 over. This is the main reason I don't read Dragon Ball Multiverse because even though it's a creative idea, it doesn't capture the true spirit of Dragon Ball.

Not necessarily. A simpler explanation is that SSj is far more practical to use than Kaioken. Even if Kaioken gave him a bigger boost, it's dangerous for him to use and can only be used for a moment. SSj isn't dangerous and can be sustained for much longer than Kaioken. It's the same logic in using Kamehameha over Genki Dama. Genki Dama is far stronger, but Kamehameha is far easier to control and doesn't take as long to form.
